I earned 0.13, 0.10, 0.09, 0.10, 0.10 in the first five days of November, and the total supposed to be 0.52 dollars but the total is 0.50 dollars instead of 0.52 dollars. I don't know why there is discrepancy.  Please can anybody help?

The earnings you see are rounded up or rounded down figures.

The sum is CPM divided by 1000, then multiplied by the number of views.

So your earnings may in actual fact be .066+.076 +.126 which would show as .07, .08, .13 (=.28) instead of the real sum of .268 which would read as .27 when rounded up.

HP work their payments out in monthly totals (even though they show daily), so unless you use a spreadsheet that allows for more than 2 decimal points, you will not see the correct sum.

If some of those figures were rounded up to the nearest cent that would knock a couple of cents of the similarly rounded total.

That is very interesting to know, but can you tell me what CPM is please? (sorry for my ignorance).

It is a amount you are paid per 1000 views.

As psycheskinner says - it is Cost per Thousand (with the M being the Roman numeral for 1000)

Sorry that came through twice. I thought the first one had not taken. Am having problems with my PC. It keeps freezing up.

This can be due to the rounding of the numbers to two decimal places or the numbers you see may not be the final numbers...
