I made my first hub earlier this month. So far I've made 52 cents on it. Is this pretty par for the course for a first hub? I just published my second one, so I'll be watching how it does in comparison.
We must be careful here as we are not allowed to disclose how much we earn from our Hubs. But I found in my first month I made less than $1 and after 7 months I make alot more than $1 a month! Keep producing Hubs, the money will come!
You are very good.(Maybe you are a veteran Hubber using another account) SEO and formatting are very good. You appear to have done keyword research for "toys for tots". It has taken me 2 months to make what you have in 13 days! As someone has said, you are way above average. Keep up the good work!
I don't think it's been discussed for some time, but HubPages used to say you could expect to earn between $2 and $5 per 1,000 views.
A good point of reference for earnings per view is $5,000 for 2 million views, which works out to $2.50 per 1,000 views or 0.25 cents per view. These figures are derived from the recent HubPages blog post that describes how one Hubber's Hub went viral.
Hmmm I'd have to disagree on this. I've made over $600 with just about 97000 views, almost. So based on my experience, 2 million views should earn over $10 000. But hold on, I swear it was 1 million views something?
I think the earnings are not calculated based on just views alone and there are other factors involved. I remember seeing one of the HP staffs stating that search engine traffic earns more than social traffic.
Hamshi, I think the earnings does depend on how many people click on ads (visitors from search engine traffic are more likely to click). Also, the earnings depends on how much the ads are paying, which depends on the topic of your Hub. There is quite a bit of variation in earnings- I just wanted to mention a concrete example where the earnings and number of views was made public.
They're both right. As I said, HubPages used to say earnings potential was around $2 to $5 per 1,000 views. That's quite a big window and there are many variables involved.
don't disclose your earnings. it is against the policy of hubpages. any way you did very well. congratulates for your amazing beginning!
Above average, actually, I'd say. For two weeks and two Hubs it is not too shabby.
That's good to know I'm on track. Each site is so different.
The more you write and stay patient, the more money you will make after time passes and you accumulate more hubs. Good question though.
I would say 52 cents is really a good beginning. It looks like your hub is a niche hub. Hence you are able to receive more visitors to your hub. Keep going with the current approach you have. However as I said early, 52 cents is a good beginning.

I feel very encouraged by this. Thank you.
It is a great start. I am sure it will improve further with your background as a writer. Happy New Year, 2014.
Let's see... looking back, I was up to 87 cents after five months, so I'd say you're off to a good start (I'm doing considerable better now ). Your earnings will be roughly 60% X views X CPM. CPM is cost per mille (thousand). I've seen CPMs range from about 2.50 to 9.00. Welcome to HubPages and keep writing those Hubs.
I think I earned about $7 in my first six months with something like 70 hubs written in that time.
On this account I now make a few hundred a month but that took awhile and some viral content and maturation.
I'm glad you have had such good success here.
That's a great start if you ask me. Although I can't really tell how much I earned from my first hub since I made several ones a few days after publishing it, I think it's less than yours.Welcome to hubpages and good luck!
Thank you for the welcome and good wishes.
That's really good! We all start out little here. Glad you are doing so well. Keep up the work and you will do great!!!!
That’s definitely par for the course. The system is repeating that success until you are making $10,000 every month. JK!
You’re doing really well. You have the right idea. Now, just rinse and repeat.

What is a realistic expectation for the amount of page views I could receive after just 4 days on hubpages? thanks

I am at 860 views since starting. Is it safe to say my earnings are average?I have made about $1.35 over 860 views with the ad program. Adsense has made .07 since starting. Is this about average? So one might say it equals out to around $1.50 per 1000 views? Welcoming any and all thoughts on this!

Okay, guys! What am I doing wrong here? I have written 39 hubs, and only made $4.94 on AdSense. That must be the hardest earned $4.94 of my life - no joke! I made more than that in one evening of babysitting 25 years ago.HELP!! Please!! I have heard it takes...

I took my 30-days page views count; divided it by 30 and further divided it by the number of published hubs. Thus I got a fair representation of my average number of visitors per day per hub. It comes to a whopping 1.6! How about yours?

Hi Fellow Hubbers!I have done a bit of (unscientific) averaging of AdSense income on HubPages.com, and calculated an earnings rule for Hubs:On average, any given hub will earn about $10.00 per year.My page showing my sources is: http://hubpages.com/hub/Hubbers-Reveal- … s-EarningsDoes this...

Today I had a hub unfeatured due to a lack of traffic. In the last 30 days it has 72 views, and since January 15, 2015 it has had 473 views. When I contacted the team about this they indicated that only views from "search" count as traffic, but those from social media do...
