Thank you for HOTD

   Thank you very much, HP Staff for choosing my hub about joining a church community, as HOTD. I am slowly coming out of the shock as I found out a short time ago by checking my junkmail box. My first word, uttered out loud was, "Whuuuuuuut?!" I could not believe it. Instead of opening the email, I sent it to my inbox and went straight to HP to sign-in and see this for my self (still thinking it couldn't be true). To my surprise, there it was on the sign-in page. Wow. I was wondering why all those comments on this sleepy hub were coming to my phone this morning!
   I am honored and appreciate the recognition, especially for a topic which is very close to my heart and soul. Thanks again and thanks to whoever may have nominated my hub.

      Congradulations... how many views did you need. I am just getting back to writing again here and I seem not be able to my two articles published or feature...any tips you can give would be great. Thanks LeeNess

         I don't think you need views for HOTD. It has to do with following the format and rules for a stellar hub, defined in the Learning Center. Even when you do that, there is no guarantee for HOTD. I suggest focusing on creating the best quality hubs you can with lots of capsules by making good use of the hubtool, researching the topic and adding links to sources that will back up what you are presenting, and most importantly, good grammar and spelling.

                  I assumed HP was judging it by the qualities they are looking for, and such qualities would be those that would make it be better at garnering views.

      I hope it happens for you, too, Global-Chica, when you least expect it. It was a real surprise for me, since IMO, it doesn't look like the usual pics for HOTD. I'm tickled and grateful.

      I had a huge rise and then it tailed off a bit but nevertheless remains quite high up on my list of Hubs.

         I'm so new I squeak. Where do you go to vote on HoTD? Where do you nominate HoTD? On Rising Star, the link takes me to the hub explaining how it works, but no link to the voting or nomination screen. I find this process very difficult to navigate being new. I read the learning center hubs several times, wrote to HP and asked how, no answer, so now I'm asking in forum. TY to anyone who can answer with detailed instructions.  I'm not dumb, but obviously I'm challenged in locating these two areas. lol

            No worries, Mary McShane. I should have said "recommend" not "nominate." ECs on nominated, HOTD is suggested or recommended to HP staff. They basically hand pick them most of the time but they say that hubbers can send a hub link via email to a hub they feel should be considered for HOTD. Sorry for the confusion.

                  When you sign into HP it's the first thing you see. Actually, before you sign in, when you Google "HubPages," it's the first thing searchers see.

      I've never received one either. In fact I just had the opposite happen. HP just notified me that one of my hubs had been unpublished for adult content. They had passed it and it was featured. I added an eBay and Amazon capsule and it was reviewed and then unpublished...weird.
