I checked my adsense this morning and it's counting views on a site I don't own. When I google the site, I'm getting info on a "proxy site", "proxy server", "proxy" this and that, and I don't understand that term. Why is this happening and should I be concerned?
Edit: I'm thinking this might have to do with Adsense for Search. I just started using it on a couple sites.
A proxy server is what people use when they want to remain anonymous.
Is the site listed in the list of your sites?
Or is it listed as a viewer of your sites?
It's listed as one of my sites. Here's something interesting about proxy sites, first comment by Gracey: https://productforums.google.com/forum/ … kyxBbkbr9w
Proxys are used to hide identies but also where aspects of the internet might be banned, like China used to be.

Hopefully someone from Hubpages HQ can look into this.I believe that those of us that are using a hosted account with Adsense are not getting any ad revenue on impressions from the niche sites.I base this on the fact that my daily impressions on Hubpages vs Adsense differ by a factor of about 100....
