Write about what other career you would pursue if you had no limitations. Me? I'd be a meteorologist. Yesterday they called for a dusting of snow, this morning I wake up to a winter storm warning and 8 to 12 inches being forecast. It got me to thinking - in no other career on earth can you get things wrong THAT much so often and still have people hang on your every word as though it were gospel.
Me, I'd be a meteorologist - yep. Screw this aspiring writer gig where I have to fight to get people to listen to me and scrimp and scrape for a few odd cents here and there. I'm going to go to weather gal school, get all the weather forecasts wrong, make good money for being wrong consistently, and people will still listen to me all the time regardless. Wish I'd have thought of it 20 years ago
