Just wanted to send out a big hello to all the great friends I made while writing with Squidoo. I look forward to meeting new Hubpages writers as well! I wonder if my friends are still writing here and how it has been for them? Merci, Susan- are you out there? I am going to start writing more again now that I have some free time. God bless,
Formerly DaisyDixon
Hello, Renee! I was 4U2C at Squidoo, and am now Shades-of-Truth here on HP. Good to see you!
Welcome to HubPages! We're sure glad to have you aboard.
Welcome. Good to hear you are going to create some hubs.
Hi, Renee, I remember you from Squidoo. I was Mia-Mia on Squidoo. I'm still missing Squidoo the way it was before it went so crazy that last year or so. I get far less traffic here, and haven't had a single sale since transferring over to HP. My two articles that were ranked pretty high on Squidoo, and had consistent sales, are ranked very, very low on HP, and have no sales. I like the absence of all the silliness of some of the Squidoo quests, but I miss knowing who was "liking" my articles. I miss the beautiful themes and backgrounds of Squidoo, compared to so much blank white space on the screen here, I also counters of likes, and social media shares. I haven't written nearly as much since being sent here. Just don't seem to have the heart for it as I once did.
I hate to be such a downer, but I'm just feeling very frustrated right now. I am also writing on PersonaPaper, have one article on Seekyt, and have started my own blogs on WordPress, titled "In the Garden with Maria" and "Down Hibiscus Lane". Good luck to you here on HP.
Hello Mia-Mia! So glad you messaged me! I too miss the fun layout of Squidoo, and the community and the uplifting each other up. I didn't make a ton over there, but I had so much fun! I am sorry to hear you aren't having the best experience either I wish you the best of luck on all your endeavors!!!
Former Squid here. Hope you're enjoying it here so far!
Hi!
Yes I do remember you Daisy Dixon.
I was kiwinana71 at Squidoo. Nice to meet up with you again, looking forward to reading what you write.
Happy Days.
Another former squid here. It takes a little getting used to the Hubpages layouts (all that white-space), but one you become adjusted to it it's fine. I kind of like the clean look of the hubs. Goodluck on your hubs!
I was a Giant Squid as well as a HubPages writer, so now I have 2 HubPages accounts. I have to keep adjusting as the rules for good hubs change, but that keeps my hubs fresh. I do miss the fun challenges and the different clubs we had on Squidoo, though.
So glad to hear from you formerly Daisy Dixon! I'm here, still as merrci. You have been on my mind so often lately, wondering how you and those babies are doing! I've sent you an email. Hugs, my friend.

It's been several weeks now since my lenses were transferred over here to HubPages. I have to say, due to illness I've not accomplished nearly what I hoped to so far in terms of editing my lenses into Hubs. I have focused on the ones that have been labeled as violations (usually too many Amazon and...

I think out of respect to our new home and the other hubbers (I don't know the terminology yet, is that what they're called?), we former squidoo members should make an effort to get rid of the squid junk from our (former lens) hubs. What I mean is, there were a lot of references to things...

After over a month of careful watching, here is what I have observed as an HP writer;1- My "reads" on HP are steady at 400+ daily.2- Google (US, AU, NE, UK, CA, etc) have all but abandoned my articles with a dramatic decrease in Google Traffic. 3- All of my other sources of traffic are...

Former Squidoo Lensmasters - What Do You Like / Dislike About HubPages? Now that many of you have used HubPages for a few weeks, What Do You Like / Dislike About HubPages?

I'm not knocking anybody (or maybe I am) but I have seen several "Hubs" that transferred from Squidoo that are composed of nothing more than very thin content and a whole bunch of merchandising links (and even one lady who pimped her own Etsy page multiple times in her "Hub")....
