I have posted on here my already copyrighted poetry. I'd now like to begin my own website. Can I take my content to Wordpress or another website creation application? Are there any legal issues to this?
There are no legal issues with posting your HubPages content elsewhere, but it's good to be aware that Google penalizes duplicate content (as the most recent iteration is assumed by Google's algorithms to be stolen). I recommend:
1.) Making sure there are no other plagiarized copies online.
2.) Removing your poems from HubPages.
3.) Waiting a few days until your work is no longer indexed in Google.
4.) Reposting on your new website.
