Often I'm right in the middle of doing one thing on a Hub when I think of 3 other things that need doing. What would be great is if I could have a button to click to write myself notes like 'needs new photos' or 'add rss feed'. That way later when I have more time I can do a fix.

So how about a Author's Note button on each hub?

I think that's a great idea.  You could also take notes about where it ranks in google after it was published.

I love your idea- since I don't often get to sit down uninterrupted long enough to get a whole hub done at once - this would be a dream come true!

Instead of looking at my hub and saying to myself "where was I?" just click the button and read my notes.

Maybe a checklist feature on it - reminder to add photos, ads, poll. etc?

When I sit down with a new hub, I add all the capsules where I think I want them. That way when I start to compose the hub and add pictures, text, products, links, etc. I have the capsules there in a general idea of where I want them. That way, if I'm interrupted I can go back and fill in any blanks. A lot of the time, I'll go ahead and title the capsules, so that I know what I want to put there. With this manner, you can add, subtract, and move around as you work, but every time you start up, you have a general idea of what you wanted to add.

I have also written down on a piece of paper what I wanted on a hub, so that when I had the chance to do it, I could, then scratched off as I went.

I don't think there's a need for this feature. Just my opinion.

I'm with Whitney.  No need for this feature.

Wouldn't it take time you supposedly don't have to write yourself notes in Author Notes??

I think it's theoretically a good idea but am not sure how much work would be involved in its development.

I get by fine with quite literally my notepad and pen by my side at all times.

I write the content for my hubs in Notepad. And I keep notes in that.

I divide each 'capsule' with a series of dashes, eg:

    - - - - - - - - - - - -

And I'll often write things like #READY TO POST or #POSTED or #EDIT

With a # and the words in UPPERCASE so I can see at a glance where I'm up to and what needs doing.

At the top of the text document I have a lot of notes, or things I need to get or do. I also have #LINK TO and #LINK FROM with a list of url's of other hubs and webpages that need to be linked to, or for me to go and add links to those pages after my hub is published.

It's s system that evolves as I think of new ways to do things more efficiently.
