I thought it was something people dropped in the toilet at first.
Here you go, Mandy -- this should clear some of this up for you.

Certainly sounds like it, its so damn stupid, I just don't get it at all.
I was actually one, it was where they get newbies some attention for their work. They have a contest of sorts but mostly its just to highlight new hubbers. To be honest, its a good thing.
O.K So you were a Nugget not bad, prob just sour grapes on my part I don't think I have ever been a nugget haha
I'm sure with me they realized their mistake afterwards...
damn I was a nugget and didnt know it either , so whats the next stage?....huggies no that would be huggets...
lambs ,hoggets ,mutton, ( I got meat on my mind thanks to chefmandy!)
goldentoad has been a NuggetI am not sure where it goes from there,(Hey I bet my bestie friend on Hub pages has been a Nugget lots atimes lol)So He probably can enlighten uis. Just a publicity for newbies..... All my stuff is so shockingly grammatically wrong, I'll never make nugget boo hoo.
Mandy your stuff is just shockingly brilliant, they are just trying to figure out a category for you! Their wheels just move a little slower.
Sorry Mandy, but you have to be a newbie. The HP definition of a newbie is 60 days or less.
GT's right, it's to shine a light on new hubbers who write quality hubs. It offers encouragement and traffic, shows other newbies what a good hub looks/reads like, and introduces them to the community.
So, it is a good thing, honest.
Mandy aint a newbie 14 months I just looked at the Nuggets the other day like Cindyvine said it makes u feel like sweet and sour Maccas Nuggets.
Gold Nuggets to buy lots the company that makes the chicken nuggets ,lol
I believe Hubnuggets were something to do with funride. I'm not 100% sure ... I read about the origins in the blog section a few weeks ago.
Maybe they should start a weekly hub burger award for the people who no longer qualify to be a newbie. So you have the Hub Mob, Hub Nugget and Hub Burger, or call it the Hub Steakout Award. That might sound better than the Hub Burger in retrospect.
Nuggets are to highlight newer writers. I got chosen in my first month...very exciting I can't remember which one it was. They are chosen by vote as you know.
I was a nugget two weeks in a row my first two weeks at HP. Hey, you knocked me off my perch? What perch? What number one?
Hey my The Greatest Paper Airplanes was nominated. So I'm still a newbie after all.

I have noticed a few questions asked by newbies that have been asked before and so many times it is probably impossible to count. I have noticed comments of annoyance at the same questions being asked yet again. I am sure at some point I will have been here long enough to get every bit as annoyed.I...

What is considered a good hub score? How do I improve my hub score?
by shazwellyn 15 years ago
It would be good if we can have a thread for newbies to introduce themselves. Something that is highlighted and placed at the top of a forum without movement... like hubnuggets.Im not sure that we have one?Peace x

Would any of you suggest 'reporting' an obvious newbie who has obviously not read anything of the rules and protocols here, whose profile includes no bio and indicates having joined but 2 hours prior, and whose portfolio includes but a single, very short and very poorly written hub?I'm not even...
