Have decided to be a bit more active. However I am not going to join any new site. I am alread on Orkut, Facebook and Twitter (joined two days back). I was wondering how to use them to promote my writings (Hubs).
I know there is already a thread here related to twitter that answers my question. Can someone give me link to that (could not find myself)?
Now can someone tell me how to use Orkut and Facebook for Hub Promotion?
No replies yet!!!! For Facebook we have an option to share at the bottom of each Hub. Is that all I have to do to promote my Hub on Facebook?? Anything else??
And what about orkut. Looks Like we have to be a part of any community there because I don't see any option to share Hubs there. Any ideas??
Hahaha That was a good one. I am here only. There is no point being on bed alone at this time
lol
packerpack ...u will be remembered for that thread for a long time now... be ready for that ..hehe
Well yes you are correct and I can already see it..... but it is good .... at least people will remember me
.....
I've been having some success in driving traffic from both twitter and facebook. The key is to promote useful information for a specific target audience. If your network on facebook consists mainly of entrepreneurs then post relevent links to hubs which are of interest to small business and entrepreneurs, if your followers on twitter are internet marketers looking for a way to earn online , then post links to hubs that are relevant. Spend some time recruiting followers who have posted using specific keywords and then target those keywords with your hub.
I write a hub on how to use twitter:

Thanks for that amazing reply and thanks also for that link. However there is a link on this forum for a thread that also has some good info on how to use twitter for promoting your Hub. Any idea about that??
Ain't there anyone to help me out. Please guys where are you all.
with FaceBook, I just post a link to my hub on the status bar and tell ppl to check it out
You can also add a link to your hub in Facebook. The status bar will change everytime you change it, but when you add a link it will be permanent in your stream. For me the option to add a link is on the top left hand side of the page.
Thanks. I have not used facebook yet but does it actually send traffic ??
I have my RSS feed set up on my FB n have started gettin clicks from there...if that is any help
How did you put your RSS feed on your FB page?
packer there was this post the other day about using Twitter. Hope it helps & good luck

When I post a link on Facebook I usually get a few views out of it. But I don't have massive amounts of friends. I think posting it in status or notes is definitely superior to sending all your friends a facebook message about it. They can decide if they want to look at it or not when it appears on the status page.
Thanks for that tip. Putting the link to your latest Hub in the status is a good concept. It will work on all community sites be it FB or anything else.

Hi! I just published a new hub but did not see the Facebook or Twitter thingy pop up for a quick link to Facebook and Twitter accounts. Has Hubpages done away with this?

I've noticed something kinda weird, after I write something, I put it on Facebook, because I've worked hard on it, and letting everyone I know that I have written a new hub. Do they or even even disliked it or leave encouraging words? Nope...nothing....zip, zero. I'm not sure if they know...

Just wondering what sites Hubbers use to promote their articles? I have seen a lot of changes over the years with some sites no longer allowing links in forums or comments, and some article sharing sites just going away. I primarily use Facebook and Twitter these days to share my...

The impression new hubbers may have is all they need do is write a stellar article that conforms with HP guidelines, and the traffic will begin flowing to their hubs. This has not often been the case. Is it true that to get any significant traffic, a writer has to do the bulk of promoting his/her...

I know there is a rule about "self promotion in the forums."I just want to clarify what it means. Does it mean there is a blanket ban on all links in our own posts that link to any hub we've written or site or article we own?ORAre we allowed to post our own hub links if relevant to the...
