Here on Hubpages many of us like to celebrate the small things with each other. Blondpoet is a very nice lady and hubber, so I am not sure why anyone would begrudge her a little bit of attention. Besides, anyone chagrinning her over it probably is jealous about it, or is just stirring the pot. Why do even the most innocuous threads have to become controversial?

  Uum, my response certainly had nothing to do with BP. And to answer your question, I don't believe the issue of ratings is all that innocuous. Hell, some people appear rather put off by some of the seemingly cliquish and demonstrably judgemental things on this site.
  
  As well, to be perfectly honest, I don't agree with women displaying what nature gave them in salscious and solicitous ways. I mean, we already all know what time it is, and to be exposing womens bodies for the viewing pleasure of horny men is purely despicable. I can't help it. If I meet a beautiful woman. The more she acts slutty or dresses in that manner...the uglier she gets. I'm sorry, I just can't help it...I try, but I can't. The women in America just get uglier and uglier to me every day.   Oh, and no, I am not in any way jealous. With what recieves high ratings and fans on this site, believe you me not-so-sweetiepie, I am perfectly happy to have a 65 or lower. If you can help with that, by all means do. I am not sure, but I believe that people can rate a persons hub down or up somewhere (don't know, I keep forgetting to look at that) or of course "flag" it.   You live in a constitutional republic that offers you freedom and liberty...at a price. That price is constant involvement in the governance of your nation-state and a particularly high level of morality. No, I do not expect you to know the many covert things the power structure is doing behind your back, or how badly you and your children will pay.   Listen, I do not desire or ever desire to be a politician nor do I claim to be. I do not ignore the problems in this world, but I do not constantly think about them, where it is all I think about. Have you had a knife to your throat, have you been tortured for hours, had your body burnt, been raped repeadetly, have you been a drug addict and escaped from it, have you lain in a mental ward, laying there pathetically minutes from death with an eating disorder with no hope in the world, have you been abused as a child, kicked down the hallway for spilling your milk,have you grown up with no-one to love you? Well I have yet I can stand here today proud to be a woman, strong enough to have walked away from all that crap, with pride in my step and love in my heart.

Furthermore, your life is nearly a picnic compared to mine, so the way in which you carry your baggage certainly becomes the question. I applaud you for helping people and attempting to show compassion. I still, however, have no intention of ignoring your contributions to a burgeouning environment of apathetic indifference, salacious manipulation, gender exploitation and disingenuous commentary or collusion.
