Hey expert michael! how do we know that a certain hub has been voted down?
You'll never know.
That info used to be shown on the stats dashboard along with thumbs up votes, but site users became so obsessed about them that those statistics were removed from view.
Wow, really relache? I could see that, there is a lot to obsess about on this site... I can only imagine what would happen if I knew how people were rating my hubs... Smart people run this site... for sure. Thanks
relache has a good point. The object of HubPages is to get unique and varied Hubs. That means controversy to some extent. Most people, being total sheep and wusses, would start trying to tailor their Hubs and subjects for approval if they knew the up-down votes.
BTW, Google does not care if everyone loves you. What counts is traffic, not love.
Thank you people! I learned that hubpages has also a lot of good people willing to help other than people who only used to discriminate other writers.

I was over in "Hopping Some Hubs" which I like to do when I have some time. I voted one down because I thought it obscene. Not only the Hub was obscene, but the photos on it were too. I probably should...

Or do you only vote a hub down because it was poorly written, or contains erroneous information? What is your criteria?

I've seen answers and mostly were really the best possible answer to that particular question. The answer actually makes others redundant or of lesser value. So, why do these answers get a vote down?
