A couple of days ago HubPages hit another HUGE milestone -- we officially broke through 400,000 published Hubs! I just wrote a blog about the milestone and how long it has taken us to get to 100k, 200k, 300k and now 400k Hubs and it's pretty amazing how fast we're growing right now. Be sure to give it a read when you get a chance and if you have a guess for when we will hit 500,000 Hubs, leave it in the comments!
Thanks again for all of your help in achieving this, without all of you fantastically awesome Hubbers we of course couldn't have hit this milestone. You all ROCK!!
647,505 users that is amazing
Such a great community that keeps growing
Thanks Ryan, and thank you to all fellow hubbers! Way to go everyone!!!
That's great.. so I don't have to climb the wall anymore, in the hope that I can Hop into the big time
Seems like we should roll up our sleeves and hit 1,000,000 point
Ok i better get writting but my kids tell me to get off hubpages everyday already. lol
That's amazing! Thanks to Hub Pages team for offering all of us a platform to satisfy our creative instinct.
Awesome!!!! and it is not only quantity but also great quality.
What about a 400,000 hubs a month hubpage challenge?
Hahaha....I'm burned out already....
Seriously that is good to know about hubpages, we just need to weed out those hubpages that don't have much content or are just for links hubpages!
I must say I have never seen these statistics before but I am shocked that out of all of the hubs less than half have achieved even 10 views in the last month. Now I realise some of these have only been created within the last month and so have not been around long enough to get such hits but this must mean I am doing better than many people as out of all of my hubs only one is failing to reach 10 hits within the last 10 days (co-incidently I believe that was my first hub).
I think it could be attributed to many people not writing evergreen material. Seasonal topics and topics related to a specific news event fade over time. They may get an accidental hit here and there.
It's very interesting to see the stats. I'll have to read the hub about it and see if I can predict when we'll hit 500,000! Congrats to ALL of US! We totally ROCK!
Yes that probably accounts for a large proportion of it. I expect a lot of people have also written on topics such as 'Make money online' and because there is so much competition they rank really low on the search engine rankings. This is really good news though!
It also shows from these stats that the traffic to my hubs is above average which is always good .
WoW, this is really exceptional statistics, this inspires me to write more hubs.
Good Work Hubbers, Keep it up!
Thanks!! Now can google give more then just a few pennies? lololol just kidding!!! I am happy that HP hit the milestone and a party should be going.
I think KCC is right - think of all those endless Obama hubs during the elections, for example.
Wowsy! we are amazing with our amazing creativity. Thanks for sharing ,Ryan.
I think now hubpages should announce to increase the impressions percentage of writers up to 80%
This is a good idea!
Kidding aside Congratulations to all of us!
I kind of like the way in which a website called Infobarrel does revenue sharing. They have various competitions where you get an increasing amount of revenue share depending on the amount you have written in the previous month. With this it is possible to get up to 90% revenure share (although admitedly the basic revenue share is higher on Infobarrel than Hubpages at 75%).
Congratulations Mr. Hupfer and all hubbers for reaching this mark.
Those are impressive numbers, just goes to show that hubpages is a great place to be.
Thank you team for making it possible and so easy for us to write and publish. I would sure love to know how many of those 402000 hubs I've read in those many many hours that I've spent here on hubpages.
Congrats to all
zs
What does "published users" mean and how do they differ from users? I'm guessing published users are people who actually publish hubs and the others set up accounts but didn't do anything?
Thanks for the data, Ryan. Hope to add my bit toward the next milestone.
Hub Pages is such an addiction that people can't stay away from it and as a result of people sticking to it, this site has some really impressive stats.
We should totally have a meet-up and throw a party once we hit 500,000 or 1 mil
Though I am a little late, still I would like to pass on my congratulations as well.
That is exciting!!! It has been so exciting to watch HP grow and grow, Congrats!!!!
Well done HP and everyone who contributes, including those that are no longer using the site.
And the staff too. I imagine their job to be 40% good stuff, 40% hanging head in hands stuff and 20% Frank
And I'm with Koby. Party on. Only let's have it in Lisbon, so I don't have to fly
A way to go Hubpages, hehehe reach for 1 million hubs... very soon hehehe...
what are we up to now? the thread was started 6 weeks ago...
For a minute I thought I wasn't doing my part-- but it looks like the average number of hubs for a published author is only about 5. There must be a large number who post one and leave.
Thank you so much for thanking us Ryan. I'm so proud of us all, and also proud to be a part of this great achievment. I'm so thrilled to hear this.
Now lets all plan to get to 500k in a short while
How about another round of hubchallenge soon? That should help tremendously.
Greatest thanks go to hubpages for giving us the oportunity to be a part of this.
3 HEARTY CHEERS TO US ALL!
HIP! HIP! HIP!
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORAY!!!
