    From: http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/Cults/masons.htm

Freemasonry refers to the principles, institutions, and practices of the fraternal order of the Free and Accepted Masons. The largest worldwide society, Freemasonry is an organization of men based on the "fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man," using builders' tools as symbols to teach basic moral truths generally accepted by persons of good will. Their motto is "morality in which all men agree, that is, to be good men and true." It is religious in that a belief in a Supreme Being and in the immortality of the soul are the two prime requirements for membership, but it is nonsectarian in that no religious test is used.1 The purpose of Freemasonry is to enable men to meet in harmony, to promote friendship, and to be charitable. Its basic ideals are that all persons are the children of one God, that all persons are related to each other, and that the best way to worship God is to be of service to people.

    Sounds pretty sinister to me.

The following quote of the Master Mason Necdet Egeran clarifies the misconception or myth that Masonry is a charitable organization:

“Some Masons even understand Masonry as only a kind of half religion, half charitable fraternal institution where they can establish pleasant social relationships and treat it accordingly. Others think that the purpose of Masonry is only to make good people better. Still others think that Masonry is a place to build character. In short, those who do not know how to read or write the sacred language of Masonry understand the meaning of its symbols and allegories in this way or some such similar way. But for a few Masons who are able to go deeply into it, Masonry and its goals are quite different. Masonry means a revealed knowledge, an initiation and a new beginning. It means leaving an old way of life and entering a new and still nobler life….Behind Masonry's elementary and basic symbolism there is a series of revelations that helps us to enter a higher inner life and to learn the secrets of our existence. So, it is in this inner life and the entrance into it that it is possible to reach the Enlightenment of Masonry. Only then does it become possible to learn the nature and conditions of progress and evolution.”

Also today, when we look within Masonry itself, which is constantly pronouncing its ideas of "service to society" and "sacrifice for humanity," we do not find a very clean record. In many countries, Masonry has been the focus of relationships for ill-gotten material gain. In the P2 Masonic Lodge scandal of Italy in the 1980's, it came to light that the Masons maintained a close relationship with the mafia, and that the directors of the lodge were engaged in activities such as arms-smuggling, the drug trade or money laundering. It was also revealed that they arranged assaults on their rivals and on those who had betrayed them. In the "Great Eastern Lodge Scandal" of France in 1992, and in the "Clean Hands" operation in England, reported in the English press in 1995, the activities of Masonic lodges in the interests of illegal profit became clear. The Masons' idea of "humanist morality" is only a sham.

    Love it, Ron.

In 1968, I left an underground mining job to go back to college for the umpteenth time and finally get a 4 year degree.  My father in law (1st marriage of 7) and I were very close.  He was a Freemason and helped me get a couple of college loans in which his connections played a definite part.

One year or another, he asked if I'd like to join.  I loved that man (still do) but decided I couldn't join because they required a statement that you believed in some sort of Higher Power and at that time I was truly uncertain there was such a thing.  Lying about it was not an option.

By the time I figured out there WAS some sort of organizing principle in our seemingly chaotic Universe (because for a moment I got away from my perennial worm's eye view), it was too late.  Word had gotten out, and I knew they were responsible for everything horrible in Life from the Cabal of the Day to the mole that had to be cut out of my wife's back.

    (Whew!) What a close escape!big_smile

Nah.  Still working on it, though.  We have a prison pen pal who will be joining us when her ten year sentence is done in late 2010.  My wife (#7) can't rock an' roll no mo', though, due to medical problems, so even with the best case scenario I'm guessing that doesn't really count as double dipping.big_smile

    Earnesthub,

You talked about structure but Darwin had some serious allergy with STRUCTURES. Please look at the following.

From a letter to Asa Gray, a close friend of Darwin and Professor of Biology at Harvard University:

I am quite conscious that my speculations run quite beyond the bounds of true science.

You will do a wonderful amount of good in spreading the doctrine of Evolution, supporting it as you do by so many original observations. . . . Has the problem of the later stages of reduction of useless structures ever perplexed you? This problem has of late caused me much perplexity.

I have read that, and many other quotes could be used to discredit Darwin. The interesting thing about Darwin was his ability to see fault in himself. this and other such correspondence does not reflect badly on all the great things he accomplished.

It's a misconception that Women cannot become Freemason or can not join any secret society. Take the following as proof that women can become Freemason.

Declaration of the - Grand Lodge of Freemasonry
    for Men and Women

Annie Besant brought Freemasonry for Men and Women to England in 1902 after she had been initiated in Paris in a Lodge of 'Mixte Masonry' in an Order called Le Droit Humain. It seemed to Annie Besant, that Masonry had something to add to her spiritual progress. As a member of the Theosophical Society, she recognised that Freemasonry would attract men and women from all walks of life, who wished to work together to serve humanity through Freemasonry.

        1. onthewriteside profile image60
onthewritesideposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Yea but who is committing those rapes?  Here's some interesting info straight from your own people Usmanali:

Now what does the Quran/Islam tell us about muslim men raping kafir or non-muslim girls?:

"Islam gives an open license to Muslim men to have sexual intercourse with women as long as these women are not Muslims and/or when these Muslim men are living in an infidel country."

and in regards to paedophilia --This is what Imam Khomeini, the top shia authority says:

“A Muslim man can have sexual pleasure with a little girl as young as a baby. But he should not penetrate her vaginally, however he can sodomize her”. (Tehriro vasyleh, fourth edition, Qom, Iran, 1990)

And even more disgusting and representative of the muslim attitude towards Western women comes this:

Some Muslim immigrants admit their bias quite openly. An Islamic Mufti in Copenhagen sparked a political outcry after publicly declaring that women who refuse to wear headscarves are "asking for rape." Apparently, he's not the only one thinking this way. “It is not as wrong raping a Swedish girl as raping an Arab girl,” says Hamid. “The Swedish girl gets a lot of help afterwards, and she had probably fucked before, anyway. But the Arab girl will get problems with her family. For her, being raped is a source of shame. It is important that she retains her virginity until she marries.” It was no coincidence that it was a Swedish girl that was gang raped in Rissne – this becomes obvious from the discussion with Ali, Hamid, Abdallah and Richard. All four have disparaging views on Swedish girls, and think this attitude is common among young men with immigrant background. “It is far too easy to get a Swedish whore…… girl, I mean;” says Hamid, and laughs over his own choice of words. “Many immigrant boys have Swedish girlfriends when they are teenagers. But when they get married, they get a proper woman from their own culture who has never been with a boy. That’s what I am going to do. I don’t have too much respect for Swedish girls. I guess you can say they get fucked to pieces.”

I guess that makes you, what? What is it that follows sheep around?

      lol

You may want to be careful how many people you upset as you do not meet one of the requirements, and a couple of complaints will get you booted.  wink

I don't care. I'm just telling you what I see. wink If I get booted for saying the facts, then there's probably no point in existing here. You probably have noticed I did not respond to your other responses. Simply because you already have a problem with me. It would be pointless to have an argument.

As you wish. You will not get booted for saying your opinion (facts big_smile ) - but you will get booted for not being 18 if you get complained about.

Just a friendly warning as you seem to be enjoying yourself.

I did not know pamdas followed sheep around though. lol
