I was wondering whether or not any of you have any objectives with regards to hubpages? I know that many of you are on here for pleasure, and I have to admit that I am on here partly for pleasure but also for the prospect of a little cash.
My objectives are:-
To get to 100 hubs
To get to 1000 adsense impressions per day
I think once these have reached I would be looking at trying to reach 5000 adsense impressions per day which would be incredible.
I will need to speed it up a little however, as in 34 days (the first time I published a hub) I have published 26 hubs. Thats a far bit under 30 hubs in 30 days!
My objectives aren't strictly financial, as I don't have target earnings, but then again.... I would like 1000 adsense impressions for the sole purpose of making cash!
At the moment I am seeing about 80 - 100 impressions per day, so thats 8%-10% of my target.... so unless I step up the SEO and promotion, then I will need about 260 hubs to get 1000 impressions a day!
Would love to here if you also have targets or objectives.
Regards,
Ryan.
i enjoy your hub and appreciate your ambition.my problem that i don't understand how to make money writing and publishing hub.
Interesting question. I notice that you have set yourself quite challenging goals. Kudos to your courage!
My goals (which are not really 'set in stone') are more modest and short-term:
*) To get 1000 views in the first month (though I am still not sure what statistics to follow ... I guess the traffic statistics as shown under "my account" will do the job for me).
*) Not to lose interest in writing on hubpage.com (despite all the other daily obligations).
I am quite keen to learn what other fellow hubbers have to say about their hubpages-specific goals.
Ryan, those are fine objectives. My own situation is that I need to stir up some income but find myself unable to commercialize what I write beyond a certain point. Do a little keyword research, sure, but backlinks? Fuhgeddaboudit!!
The result is that I write evey hour I can manage, taking time now and again to hit the Forums as my "break".
In summary, my goals at HP are:
1. Make some money, firstly managing to get an AdSense payout every month (not there yet), and then building to (WAY down the road) $3,000 per month. Time? No idea. It's like moving a mountain with a teaspoon.
2. Increase the chances of being one day "discovered" by a true player in the mass market science fiction publishing world, to which end I'm publishing our favorite manuscript in installments on HP. High odds, but like the Lottery, can't win if you don't play.
3. Do some good for my fellow Hubbers via Forum posts and a rare private email.
4. Add my two cents worth of assistance to HP itself as they work to maintain and improve the best online platform I've seen.
5. Put a few How To tidbits out there that may actually help a reader once in a while.
I don't have any clear cut specific numeric objectives. As long as my pageviews and earnings increase each month, I am happy.
Nice one Ryan. Good goals.
I'm just aiming for 50 at the moment. Really trying to get the hang of traffic, search engines and some new thing called SEO.
I've noticed some very good Hubbers have less than 50 Hubs and still do reasonably well with Adsense. Once I've unravelled this mystery, I'll aim to write more Hubs.
Good Luck.
My goal is to earn $1,000 month from my Hubs. I am hoping to reach my goal by Dec 2010. I even have a Hub that talks about this. I averaged 3,200 pageviews/day in July.
On another note, euro-pen, I noticed that you are listed as one of my referrals.
Best of luck to everyone on their HP goals.
Wow. It seems that you are doing very well. Of course, your hubs are of an aspiring quality (I have to admit that I did not read all of your hubs yet).
Would you mind to enlight me about this referral thing? I guess, I did not fully understand this whole concept. Even more, I cannot remember that I took any action in this regard? How comes that I am listed as your referrer? (not, that there is something wrong with that )
Here is a great Hub on the topic,
http://hubpages.com/hub/tracking
Hope this answers your questions.
i would like to practice my writing skill as i know im not good in writing .
would be great if i can earn some money too .
My objectives are to start constantly earning $10/day. (Was starting to reach this, but earnings have crashed the last few weeks due to the summer months and the fact that not as many people are at home on the computer!)
After I reach $10, I'll earn for $15....I hope to be at $10 by the end of August and $15/day by the end of December.
I'm shooting for 1,000 hubs, that generate $5,000 a month income. My only concern is an internet tax law that gets me booted from Amazon. If that doesn't happen, I'm confident of reaching my goal in the next 15 to 18 months.
In addition to revenue, I measure progress by the number of google visitors per 30 days. Currently I'm stuck at about 6,900. My first goal is 10,000 per 30 days. I'm curious to see what revenue looks like at that level.
Ebay was starting to kick in before I panicked and wiped out my Ebay hubs. But I have my text saved and I'll get back on track.
Well, I would like to reach AdSense payout monthly. I'm a simple woman
Ryan,
I have created my own forum post about this and even started a blog which can be found on my profile page to document and comment on my progress, but I am happy to share with you here as well.
I am like many others who have responded and feel that a solid monthly income would be a goal to which to aspire. Unfortunately, that seems absolutely out of reach so I choose to break up my goals into smaller bite size chunks.
For August, my goals are to:
1. Have completed 70 hubs
2. Average 50 views per day which would increase my total views from almost 2000 currently to 3500 total (I am amazed at 3200/day which seems unfathomable to me at this time)
3. Earn $10 in Adsense
All of these goals are achievable and within reason. As I see what is being accomplished, I can re-evaluate and adjust for September. I would like to make Google payout ($100 total) by the end of the year and have 200 hubs.
My goals are clear cut.
1. Reach 100 hubs next month.
2. Get my daily pageviews to 1000 pageviews per day.
3. Get to $400 dollars per month in adsense income.
4. Help others out if I can.
I think these are simple goals. Right now I am at 32 hubs and counting and 200 pageviews per day.
Great question, one to think about. For me, my objectives are;
1. Write better and more often (which I have now with HP)
2. To learn from the best and publish a book
3. Work more with writers to continue my success
4. Of course, would love to make money off HP but have not been too success but still learning and will get there
as usual, ryan, you seem to have a firm grasp of the situation here at hp. you do indeed have lofty goals and i wish you the best in achieving them. i also look forward to the information you provide here on hp.
as a newcomer, there are a few things i hope to attain:
1 - 50 quality hubs by 08.31.09
2 - 500 page views by the end of this weekend.
3 - 125 quality hubs by 12.31.09
4 - there are no expectations regarding income, for those only lead to disappointment. i would, however, enjoy seeing an increase in the current mere pittance in total earnings thus far.
5- the intangible of, as ghost32 states, perhaps receiving the call that would lead to other projects.
great question, ryan.
Ryan I like your focus and commitment, it is encouraging to us all.
My objectives have pretty much stayed the same from when I started writing for hubpages, and that is to continue to share information and knowledge on various topics I find interesting.
I seem to have a knack for finding all kinds of stuff online, so hubpages provides a great platform for me to contribute them.
My objective is to get fan number to be 10 times greater than my number of hubs.
My goal is to generate income by revamping some articles from my files. As I reach a mini goal I raise the bar and set a new goal. My mini goal for now is to earn a monthly check.
I am writing hubs for fun and for a little cash. I started out looking for ways to make money and then I ended up liking expressing myself.
I'd like to have 50-75 hubs by the end of the month. I joined 2 days ago, but I have written about 9 original hubs (the other 4 I deleted from my other writing site and placed here.)
I'd like to also get either As or Bs in my college classes, and they are suffering from all the time I am spending writing articles!
Oh, and I would like to see 250 page views a day by the end of the month. That only breaks down to 5 people a day on 50 hubs so maybe it is doable.
Ryan, I'm sorry to inform you google doesn't pay cash. All this has been for nothing
money money money money
Nothing else, so i have to write some good hubs to fullfill my objec
From your first post:
I hate to be the one to tell you but google doesn't pay cash, so you'll be receiving zero cash from them, unfortunately.
Im looking to have written 50 hubs by the end of august and be getting 350-400 page views a day (currently at 280-300) Longer term looking to reach a payout once a month.

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

This is more for conversation than anything else. I also thought it would be good for me to get mine down in writing somewhere. I am not sure a forum counts, but here it is anyway. So, what are your goals here at Hubpages? Some that come to mind, and my answers are:1. Publish...

Even taking into account Hubpages' share, with the amount of ads, shouldn't it be a multiple of views? I reckon, there should be about 6 impressions per article, but instead, there's only about .5 on average.

Hello again! So looking at my Adsense Overview, I see a particular number of pageviews that doesn't seem to correspond to the page visits in Hubpages I have for the corresponding day. I currently only have Hubpages as my active Adsense account. An example is (not my real numbers)total impressions...

I have earnings of 1p today.... but no clicks.... this has never happened before, and I was wondering if anybody knows why this may be?Not that I am moaning, an incredibly slow day for traffic this end.... so every penny counts, but just seems strange.

Hi,I've signed up and am ready to start making hubs in my specialised subject, but I was wondering what the earning potential of hubbig (if that's a word) actually is. I realise it all depends on how attractive your pages are and how good they are etc, but what are people actually earning? I am not...
