I think the Forums have become one Big Bunfight!

   I just have to wonder why people Post some of the Forums, knowing that they will be ramifications. I haven't been on for awhile, as I felt that there was a nasty type of back lash on many.
   So today I went through and saw that a fair few were actually closed to Comment/Reply.
   So looked to see why? The worst was one about a Lady saying Goodbye. It was obvious that this was out of hand fairly early in the piece.
   I have also noticed that there are always mainplayers, or should I say Main stirrers. What do they get out of this type of thing?

         I really don't take them seriously either, I haven't been here for awhile, and I think when people start talking about Lawyers, slander  etc.etc. It is just stupid. It can't happen anyway. I guess i am just trying to say. No use making stupid threats, that no Lawyer would touch, I also would like to see the Forums as sensible things that didn't need to be closed to reply. Its just my opinion, but I think I am allowed one.

      That remark was intended to stir, I am asking, whereas you are accusing, and you feature in the Goodbye Hub, so you know what I refer to.

         I am not "featured" in the good bye hub. I posted 3 times because I was very concerned about a person who suffers from a terrible illness. And my posts reflect that.

            Not mine, you can have her, whats the Big Deal about a spelling mistake. I did it from  memory.
            She talks about fighting then says that. I always say lighten up, it just means keep it light. Oh well:)

   Not sure what compels some people to come to the Forums with their guns drawn. It's like they are itching for a fight. Others jump into the mix to either egg the main players on or try to calm things down. Like the cyber version of a playground or bar fight!
   But not all Forum threads are like this. Some are actually entertaining!

   I was on ocver the weekend and someone had mentioned all the closed to Reply ones. I looked @ that one, I just thought it was stupid, They were all Bonkers, one was even two people, it was a jealousy thing. I thought it was entertaining.
   So shannedoah lighten up. I would hate them with no scraps. Bye the way Squidward Sponge came on and made it more stupid. at one stage he was on nearly every post.

         It's cool, Shannondoah.  I saw that thread... The woman that was saying goodbye is manic depressive.  I think the internet, really, is like life...you will have all kinds and all sorts of situations.
         
         It used to be, a few months back, that the general interest forums were places of a little more serious discussions (not boring...just people with something to say), and the Hubber's Hangout, etc., was more 'entertaining.'
         
         I think we've definitely seen a great deal of weird stuff and silly situations...spammers and trolls...in the last 3 months or so here across the board, though.

            I agree, in a way with her, it has definitely changed, it was only funny on the week end because it was so stupid. But seriously when people start ann ouncing their love for each other. I just think that is for the Date lines and Chatrooms, it certainly isn't my type of entertainment. Panda man was telling me all about the trolls Spammers and Flamers, and I learnt alot from him.

   Nelle -- Glad I made you laugh! I also appreciate the calming comments you tried to inject last night.
   That thread last night was seriously messed up. BECAUSE it involved not one, but two hubbers I like very much.
   
   Perhaps we can start and try hard to sustain a more upbeat, less intensely personal thread today. Maybe???

          Uhuh , I hear that CV, thing is and this is just my humble opinion that some people have come from active other sites ,so technically savy they just carry on ,like their in another room of the house , which in a way they are.
          
          Funnily enough though ,I never even ventured into a forum for maybe a month ,ya'know its like starting a new school but maybe its just us (old school) and my first visit to HP Forum , had me shakin in my boots
