Twitter! Seriously, I had a web page that was about 15 pages away on Bing and I submitted about 15 links to my site and I was on page 2 overnight. You can also add more backlinks to your blog and Digg. They both help.
I get the most direct links from Reddit but I think the successful back links are the ones that get you the best Google rating and that is not always easy to find. Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and Hubpages are all good for placing backlinks. Also submit your RSS feeds to as many RSS submission sites as possible.
for me, a mix of twitter and article directories. anything with a high page rank seems to be a good investment so far.

I am thinking about building some backlinks to my Hub[ages subdomain, but am not sure where and how should I start. What do you suggest? What's your backlining strategy? Is it really impossible to get so organic traffic without backlinks? If not, how difficult is it?
