Someone got into my accounts and now the stuff they were posting in other sites is showing up in my rss feeds.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Lobster
What do I do?
How do I find this person and how can I fix the feeds?
edit- I found her http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Best-Reusab … tic-Bottle
I flagged her.
I also tried re doing my feeds but her still show up.
Oops not just that one but this one too.
http://hubpages.com/hub/-How-to-make-mo … -your-blog
and this one...
http://hubpages.com/hub/Affiliate-Marke … 1-and-more
I also have rss feeds on my hub
http://hubpages.com/hub/Dining-Etiquette
I did not put these feeds in!!!!
Strangest thing, I got a comment the other day that I didn't allow...someone saying that they can use the rss feeds for other peoples accounts. He left a link and it was to his rss feed... I deleted it.
I wonder...
Dining etiguette sounds familiar. There was a hubber boasting a few days about about how he just published it and it was getting thousands of views.
*hmmm....
Go to your profile and click "more". You'll find other people's hubs there, too. Something glitchy going on.
Hi Everyone,
It looks like there is a problem with the RSS Feeds.
We are now investigating to see what's up. I'll report on this thread when there is an update.
-Larry
Thats very unpleasant, I feel for you and hope that it gets sorted out, particularly as those articles really arent the best!
I think it is worth considering that the person you linked to may be a victim too however, either from somebody doing it intentionally or of a technical glitch; she may be completely oblivious to the problem?
Damn too late, already answered by Larry it seems.
yes, actually one of your hubs posted to my facebook account via my rss feed.(8 total of various hubbers)
i realized it was an rss fluke immediately, went to application options, removed rss aps ability to post on my profile and then individually deleted all noted and post from my walls and notes tabs
..in case this fluke effected anyone elses facebook set up
I realized this might be the case after I looked into it some more.
This one too
http://hubpages.com/hub/PeanutButterCookies
And this one
http://hubpages.com/hub/buying-back-to-school-cloths
Its the same Rss feeds in all of them. So weird
On my profile page, someone else's hubs show up when I click "more" (as in more of my hubs).
Also, anyone visited the Hubbers page? They're all weird looking- some pictures above the profile description, others beside. Looks very messy.
Must be glitches in the new upgrade...
The same happens with all my hubs and my profile. All the hubs in the rss have been published today. they're all new
Hi Everyone,
We figured out the issue and it should now be fixed.
If anyone is still seeing RSS problems, please let us know.
Thanks,
-Larry
Hi Larry, I just just did it again and it's still the same. The hubs belong to someone else.
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-be-a-Perfect-Mother
I deleted the old one and did a new one and it's still the same.
Hi Sandra,
I want to make sure that I am understanding your problem correctly.
Are you creating an RSS capsule and finding that it lists the wrong hubs?
If I am misunderstanding the problem, please let me know what you mean by "deleted the old one and did a new one".
Thanks very much,
-Larry
It's listing hubs that don't belong to me. So I deleted the old capsule and tried it again and the same hubs are showing up that are not mine.
Hi Sandra,
The problem is fixed. Unfortunately, it still takes time for HubPages to refresh. This can take as long as 4 hours for RSS feeds.
You can get around this by slightly changing the url of the RSS capsule. For example, adding "&foo" to your RSS capsule to make it list your hubs correctly. For example, we used this method to fix your hub. It should now be working correctly.
-Larry
RSS Feeds?
sorry i am new and have no idea what those are. how can you tell if you have them?
The RSS feeds are still on my hubs! Should I go try deleting them?
Someone was looking outside of hubpages and suggested it might be coming from this hubber.
http://hubpages.com/profile/tommygg
I just checked my facebook - myself and all of my friend that are also hubbers have 9 or more articles added to our walls - the links themselves won't work to go to the article on hubpages and it's annoying as hell - it looks at first glance like my hubpages account was hacked and used by someone else.
I'm going to delete them from my wall and hope that whatever glitch Larry was talking about is fixed.
Okay, at the bottom of the notes on facebook, there is an original note or something of the sorts.
Can you guys who are also seeing this on your facebook accounts see where it is going?
go to your notes tab..then you can individually delete them, they will also disappear from your friends feeds.
Also delete the post that references the note from your profile page
Then go thumbs up all the hubs you flagged, lol
I guess I needed an excuse to reset the password on every account I own anyway.
The RSS feed of my HPs on my blog is still showing someone else's hubs.
It's still posting someone else's hub as my latest hub on the RSS feed for my blog.
Look at the blogroll on the right hand side for the HP feed.
It's the same hub that was showing when the original issue happened. Can we fix this please?
Hi eyeam4anarchy,
The issue seems to be on the blogspot side. For some reason, they are not refreshing their rss cache.
I checked on the HubPages's side:
http://hubpages.com/author/EYEAM4ANARCHY/latest/
And it looks fine. I would suggest removing and readding the rss feed on your blog or contact the blogspot folks to figure out what they recommend.
-Larry
is it just hubs with rss feeds? I don't have the problem (that I know of). However, many of mine have "duplicate", but it's because I publish my articles here and on All Voices. hmmmmmmm....hub pages scares me, don't want my stuff copied...
especially my book...
I had about 5 hubs posted back-to-back in my twitter account via the rss feed i set up to automatically post when i publish a new hub. They were all different people. Not sure if that counts.

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

I had a hubpages account for years. I also had a squidoo account. When Squidoo was merged with Hubpages I couldn't find anyway to had my Squidoo pages to my current hub pages account. Instead I had to open a new account. I would like to move my hubs from my new account into my old one. Thanks,Jim

Why is my hubpages account no one is viewing? I havesn't been on hubpages for a while because of illness haves hubpages change?
by ilmdamaily 14 years ago
Can't find the answer in the help section. The help section states that we retain ownership of the content we publish on hubpages - does this extend to the right to sell our account to another person? Anyone's help appreciated...
