      It's not 200 words, it's only 200 characters. You might find that easier!

   True If you refer people you get one of their AdSense blocks out of 3.
   
   As I said, I'm sure some others here will beat me soon enough. I'm not usually that good at getting people to follow my referral links

       I'm with Comcast and I got my email confirmation right away.  Probably stupid question, but did you check your deleted files to see if maybe you deleted it by accident?  You should have gotten it by now for sure...

    @Uninvited writer: thank you for pointing us to this new site. I did sign up yesterday evening under your name and "scooped" a hub as a first test. I am surprised that this hub even got some thumbs up (or what ever the specific lingo of thumbing up there is). Still have to learn my ropes there, though.

       In your AdSense you go to Adsense set up, then choose channels, then click on URL channel, then click on add ULR channel. Just type in shetoldme.com and voila.

                No. It shows that I have an account, but there are big huge black letters at the top of the screen that says: "IMPORTANT : Click on the confirmation link in your email, otherwise your account will be deleted in a few weeks. Do it now! When you will have confirmed your email by clicking on the link in the email we've just sent you, this message will disappear."
                
                Geez, they sound like bookmarking Nazis to me!

       Click on the new avatar you want, then scroll down and click "send"  (I think it says send).  That's how I changed mine.  I'm a crazy eyeball now, but better than the couch bear.

             No problem, kiwi.  It's not intuitive at all.  BTW, my hubs I scooped have vanished into the netherlands...  How are people's getting noticed?  I'm not feelin' the scoop love...Poor me.

                Hey James is really good at responding to emails though and prompt at answering,so fire him off a quick email. I suggested he maybe put something more on the left where people leave comments , but it didnt make sense what they were saying (unless you clicked and went to the whole scoop etc) and changed that ,nice guy. He's friendly and it sounds like a new site.
                However its gotta little way to go yet I guess.
                
                Anyone seeing any traffic from there yet ?

    i was so turned off by the sites very poor design that I became  curious if it had any visitors.
    
    The site is only a PR3 w/ an average of 4k visitors a month ..im sure many of you have hubs that command a better presence than that! ... in fact ,most pages are only pr2 and teh pages with your links (not front page) have no page rank at all.
    
    On the positive side i did see a bunch of hubs in the front page featured list ( to bad it displays the hubpages.com home page, not the article page in the associated art) and a backlinks a backlink
    
    I hope it does work out great for everyone - but their are definitely many other proven promotional techniques for such a time investment.
    
    Then again maybe you will cash in huge for being early adopters!
    I hope so...that site is just so..ugly, lol

       Every company has to start somewhere and I am certain that HP probably had some of the same complaints. I have had an additional 173 clicks in one day which is not to bad for a company who is just starting out. There visitors will grow just like HP and other sites have some of us are just brave enough to dive in and take a chance. 4k is better then no k and those other promotional companies were walking in the same shoes.
       If there are other promotional techniques please advise I am certain that many would be curious.

                I don't think Sunforged is being naughty at all!  I agree - there are so many options for promotion and if you do them all, they take up a heck of a lot of time.  I've signed up for this one and posted my websites, but I can't be bothered adding all my Hubs unless it's proved to be a really worthwhile exercise.

    I did get a response from Jamie at SheToldMe today, and he/she resent my confirmation email. What I don't understand is how folks are getting any decent traffic from this site. STM's overall traffic is pretty pathetic. Doesn't even register when compared to HP. Their PR is 3 which is okay for backlinks. Is that what you're all in it for?

    My 'scoops' nearly always get '19' +'s (why always 19 or there abouts?) I'm starting to think that there are 19 people that use the site and they just plus everything up because I've not had any traffic from the site, so what are these 19 people +'ing.
    
    Does anybody know if the links are 'nofollow' or good for a little juice?
