Can I mention actual companies by name in a hub?
I want to write about internet dating - can I mention actual sites? Also can I mention companies by name eg airline/holiday companies/shops?
Yes you actually can! Just be sure there aren't more than 2 links per website that you are mentioning. I've mentioned companies in my hubs as well! Good Luck!

Yes and you can also tell about the bad ones, I have, such as the same company selling a tanning lotion that I have problems to this day with the side effects from and then when the doctor prescribed me allergy medicine it was by,,,you guessed it...the same company? Not strange?
Why not? You can also use the link capsule, and put the home page of the company into your hub with the link capsule.
