I don't create too many backlinks for the Hubs I write. But when I do, here's where I link:

within Hubpages -- I always try to link together my Hubs that have a similar topic

RedGage -- sometimes I'll post my Hubs there

Ezine articles -- I wrote one article and linked to a Hub. I'm going to do more.

Facebook and Twitter ... I'll Tweet and put up on Facebook.

Topical blogs -- I'll find topical blogs and use the Hub's url when I comment.

Hi, Hubpages has a page that talks about how their backlinks work. Here's the link: http://learningcenter.hubpages.com/a-gu … cklinking/

If that doesn't answer your question, I place many links in my Hubs, and have had good luck so far with the way I do it. One of my Hubs may have 10 or so links on the page, but I never link to one main web site (example: Amazon.com) more than two (2) times on one page, and each of those links is slightly different.

I try to build as many back links as possible, but sometimes it is harder for me to find the time to do so. When I am answering questions on Webanswers.com I will sometimes link a hub there if it seems relevant. As I write blog posts, if I am writing on a relevant topic to a hub then I will most likely link to it. I used to post my hubs on digg.com and other sites similar to digg, but realized that I had not been gaining much traffic from posting there.
