I love Halloween and was wondering if any other enthusiastic holiday lovers had any fun tips to share
Don't wear the sheet that has yellow stains on it. Always ensures a little ghost is happy!
Not unless I get paid at a haunted house most likely.
what about scaring your neighbors? Or at least making them laugh?
or what about going around in a group (in costumes) and "carol" - only instead of Christmas songs, sing Halloween songs. ?? Start a new (and hopefully funny) trend.
I always dress up and we decorate the yard with tombstones.
My tip? Dollar stores sell halloween themed ziploc bags. We fill them with different kindsof candy and and them out.
I'm not sure if you're looking for tips for Trick or Treat candy, but I make little ghosts by covering round lollipops with something like white tissue paper, making a face (or else sticking on a face sticker), and tying the "neck" with ribbon. They look cute sticking out of the tops of candy bags or taped on the front.
I use glow sticks in my pumpkins instead of candles.
Give some to the kiddos for around their necks & to carry in their pumpkin buckets or what ever bucket they have this year.
Cool thing is it lights up the bucket too I can see them well at night as we walk
Last year I stapled some to the celling of my porch too helped light it up more *going do that again
love the ghost sucker idea
I always always ALWAYS dress up for Halloween, it being my favorite holiday and all. I love passing out the candy but sadly the last few years have been sad since not a lot of kids. In Hawaii, esactly 4 kids came to our house. I was so sad.
you should dress up and carry candy around with you! Go out and wish the neighbors a happy halloween and give candy to any kids you see I guess that's being a bit pushy...my neighborhood is aging and there are very few kids left...maybe i'll be more creative with the goodie bags.
I also got a magazine of halloween inspired recipes...pretzles in the shape of bones...mummy wrapped hot dogs...frozen candy ice cube hands for your punch....great ideas!
Great tips! I love to dress up too! I also make candy bags out of extra fabric to match costumes (if I have time). last year, my friend's daughter was a princess, so I made her a pink sparkly bag and painted her name on it. She loved it!! She carries her lunch in it now. I also dressed up as her fairy god mother...in a huge pink gown and wings
I wrote a hub about tips for the perfect jack-o-lantern Check it out and point me in your direction if you have any fun how-to's I can check out!
I wud love to dress up as pirate girl but I don't want peeps thinking I am weird. I blame my Mum for dressing me as girl, like it was my fault I was born a guy !
I got my own back on her though, I started dressing as a boy at 18, my was she furious.
