Through reading few many hubs I have come to notice how some Hubs regarding affiliate programs or websites are appearing now and then. I am considering writing a hub on a website myself but I am still not clear on if this is "legal" or "frowned upon" on HubPages as I have checked out some other topics regarding this matter. So I guess my question is, can I write a Hub about a Website?
Yes, you can write a review of a website or a piece of software. If you have more than two hyperlinks out to the same website in a Hub, it will trip the "overly promotional" penalty - but you shouldn't need more than one link in a review, anyway.
I would think it is just fine. Just don't try and be tricky about it. State the purpose of the hub and then get after it. Are you going to review the website, or are you planning on selling for the website?
