I think Bartholomew is asking why it is not in the major drop-down list. Of course you can always create and add whatever tag you want...
I add a religion tag all the time. About half of my hubs are tagged religion. You just add it to the list of tags when you are first creating your hub.
I dont see a politics one either......you have to create it.
I would be ecstatic if there were a religion section on the forums. I think healthy discussion about something so profound a topic as religion would be a welcome addition.
I guess we are discussing religions under the politics now
Sorry for the confusion. I meant on both the forums, and on the tags that the main page allows you to "subscribe" to. :-)
I am aware of the moderation efforts this would require, especially on the forum, but I think it would be well worth it to all the religious hubbers here.
You can subscribe to the religion (or any other tag) on the religion tag page in the upper right corner:
http://hubpages.com/tag/religion/hot
We choose the default list of tags and the forum topics based on popularity, but of course excluding near duplicates (such as art and arts). If you'd like to see religion added to the list you just need to help us build out the religion community here (and build a lot of religion hubs).
Awesome! That's a really good idea. The tech here is really cool. I can't get over it.
Thanks for the help. :-)
Good morning I'm not here yet, I have a pretty busy day today, but hope to be back tonight...
I'm just curious, after having done a search on the keywords 'religion', 'christianity' and 'wicca' just off the top of my head I found dozens of pages of hubs which are centered on the topics above. How much more content needs to be written on these topics before we get a section for religion on the forum?
Religion is currently the 43rd most popular tag (about 700 hubs short of the top 20). But, I'm willing to add a religion forum if 10 people express interest here and promise to actually use it to discuss religion.
Paul,
I would definitely love a Religion forum. Even though I don't write hubs about it (or haven't, yet), it's one of my major focuses in my academic life (read: "my major, for now" ). Would love to talk about it with other Hubbers!
I'm interested in a religion forum since most of my hubs are bible based. That would be great! And I just got internet at home so I can participate in the forums fully now.
Religion covers an entire world. Could there be a Religion Forum, or whatever name it is given, and people behave nicely?
On another site, even the Religion thread was pulled because of apparently misunderstandings. I missed this, by not reading for about twenty-four hours, so I don't know the details.
Some people think Religion, as with Bible in Hand (including me, having been raised this way),
Others, as Gamergirl mentioned, think Wicca and others. (Forgive me Gamergirl, I just used your word).
There are many people in this world with many beliefs. Question is: Can this be used in a meek environment.? Hopefully Religious Tolerance, or some such words....
Back to You, Paul.
That's my opinion. I'm Betty Jo
Having studied world religion for a very long time, I can honestly say I would welcome a religion forum section. Though I think my previous response to the thread showed my interest. ^.^
Ok, here you go -- the religion forum is open for business.
Thank you so much, Paul!
Thanks to everyone else who spoke up about this also. Hubpages grows and becomes a more diverse place for all of us with each day with effort from each and every one of us.

I believe this has been addressed before but can we please revisit it. I have very little interest in the religion and political forum threads yet they seem to occupy 75%+ of the latest activity. It's an inconvenience to have to browse through Jesus this and Obama that just trying to read on topics...

For example: a Hub about Obama being the AntiChrist? (Cause his name rhymes with Osama!) Do we have to flag these Hubs? (And see the sick joke starting elsewhere all over again.) Are these Hubs also partly responsible for other dangerous and sick jokes like the "Osama Obama Shotgun Pool"...

It looks like a fourth of my feed lately is comprised of new people wanting the rest of us to tell them how to write. All day I get request after request for help on passing the Quality Assessment. I mean Really? Many of your requests are just one step above being a jumble of mis-spelled words...

I guess the title says it all- I have a few published hubs and a few in the workds that I believe are well written and interesting to read, but I can't see many people finding them through google, what are some other good ways besides spaming links to promote it?This one of the hubs I was talking...

The hypothetical part:Say HP were cheesed off enough to think 'The religion sub-forum takes up too much valuable staff time, it's got to go'The non-hypothetical part:You spend most if not all of your time in the above forum, warring with words etc etc. You may (or may not) have written a few hubs....

This forum is a place for you to post hubs that you think are clearly of low quality and need flagging. Committed hubbers should follow this forum and check these hubs posted for quality when they have the time. If a hub has been clearly copied (for example from a PDF file that the plagiarism...
