well, we actually got back on Monday night, but I've been busy since then, keeping the washing machine in business, catching up at work, etc. We're now down at my parents' house for the weekend, so Isaac can pick apples and play with the dog.
We had a wonderful time - lots of sailing, swimming, windsurfing, snokeling, and eating.

It's gorgeous. Like a tropical island, but colder, and no nasty bugs or snakes (-:
Thanks both. It doesn't need to be warmer, though. It almost never freezes there in the winter, because of the North Atlantic Drift.
Welcome back LG, all the snaps are just amazing want me to go for a vacation. Loved the first pic your kiddo looks a charm. Happy hubbing again.
What awesome photos, LG. I'm sure you had an awesome time. Welcome back!
Wow, he has grown, LG, !
Looks tropical, but still a little cold? I'd love to see the ocean again...now! I have to work at 6 am tomorrow.
thanks all, a good time was had, for certain!
Lita, Tresco is one of the Isles of Scilly, a small group of islands 40-odd miles west of Land's End in Cornwall. Because of the North Atlantic Drift (called the Gulf Stream further south) the islands have a very temperate climate - never freezing in the winter, I gather. Therefore, there are lots of plants able to grow there that would die in the rest of the UK.
The Atlantic is pretty chilly there, though - you'd have to be pretty brave to venture in far without a wetsuit. I think it's about 15 degrees C, but I could be wrong.
So wonderful photos! What a handsome Admiral! Welcome back
Welcome back L/Girl
What wonderful pictures you've shared and what a gorgeous son you have. I bet you have loads of fun with him. Nice to see you 'home' again.
You've had a great break from HP's trials and tribulations and time to get back up to speed
Welcome back, LG - looks like you had a fantastic and well-deserved break. The photos are beautiful and the it looks like the wee guy had a great time.
Must admit, when I first saw this post, I misread it and thought that it said 'Back from Tesco."
I was expecting a story about your weekly shopping experience and some nice pictures of tomatoes and eggplants.
Ahoy thar Froggy - will ye be joinin' ol' Seaman Scrotes fer a drop o' rum?
Just getting into the swing of things and joining the HP madness.
How are you, FD? - we are having yet another thunderstorm, at the moment. Pretty awesome to watch up here in the mountains
When we were in miami last year during the winter season it was cold. My kids just stayed at the pool and the park. We are going to st. thomas for the winter, if i can find my 1 st grader a good school. I loved your pictures and welcome back.

I have been here for about two weeks. I am getting traffic from other sources other than hubpages, but the majority comes from here. I was wondering, how long did it take you to start seeing more traffic from other places. I am trying to learn about promoting and keywords and backlinking. I think I...
