I finished 30 hubs in 2 weeks. I could do more hubs in 30 days. Since I'm new to hubpages, I couldn't see anything nice on my adsense account besides less than 50 cents in my account.

So what is it I suppose to get after finishing this challenge?

You've only been here two weeks - unfortunately, it takes longer than that to start getting good traffic. Maybe you could concentrate on SEOing your hubs and getting backlinks to them in order to improve traffic and therefore earnings? Just my 2 cents, lol smile

I am aware that hubs needs time, but the 30 hub / 30 day challenge is not enough for me because i don't get anything from it. we should go for a more promising target, something like 150 hubs /60 days.. so we could mature our hubs also and start looking at money coming in.

There was a 100 Hubs in 30 days challenge and it caused a lot of distress and conflict at Hubpages because (a) it put a lot of pressure on people (b) it took over the forums and (c) it produced a fair number of cr@p Hubs.

That's why the 30 Hubs in 30 days Challenge was born - it's an individual challenge set at a level where you can realistically write quality.

I wrote 55 Hubs in my first two weeks and barely earned a cent for the first three months. That's fairly normal at HP.

Looking at your Hubs, they're on the short side (Hubs are a lot longer than blog posts, at least 500 words and some say they should be 800-1000), and you have a picture right where your main Adsense ad should be - top right hand corner.

I joined HubPages because I had something to say. I'm older, not to computer or internet savvy. Getting facebook horrified me. But the thought of making money, and getting the chance to voice my opinion is not a shabby deal at all. Could explain what you mean by SEOing and getting backlinks to them?  Thank you.

Make another 60 hubs in 4 weeks. Give them 8 months and certainly then you will be making a minimum of $100 every month.

      What else did you do?

When I write a hub, I think about how I can promote it.  For example, today I was writing  one hub so joined an entirely new forum in order to get a link in my sig, then needed to create a new index hub for that link to go to so it could be relevant for any postings I made.  I then trawled that forum and was useful and answered people's questions.

Then I wrote the hub, got the photos, linked that hub in where appropriate to existing ones, linked that one out to other relevant ones, checked the tags 4 times.  Then published it, told my immediate friends, then sent an email to my club of 2000 which is a group of people living in the same area as me that have their own business.  I then created 8 other backlinks to that hub.

      That's what I call writing a hub.

Today's hub earnings ... 51p (that's all of them in total)

You are motivated to post 30 hubs in two weeks...Keep at it! I would post in many Forums, Articles on Ezine, and Blogs in many social networking sites. It takes time to get noticed, but you will be rewarded huge in the long run...

I haven't finished the challenge yet, I managed around 27 hubs in almost 60 days and I am seeing the rewards already!  At the start most of my views came from HubPages but now it is starting to pick up from other sources like google and bling.

Hi Roffi smile the challenge is set up for you and how, when, why and what reasons are up to you. I think it's great that you took the challenge on and outdid yourself. Now you can promote, optimise and continue writing. The $$ part doesn't kick in till you have traffic. Smile now and don't be so hard on yourself.

My goal was for $ but I understand what this challenge means. Anyway what I achieved in this challenge is I practiced a lot to write better English because I'm not a native speaker.

You have managed more in two weeks then I have in three months, you have done really well. I agree with everyone else, it takes time to  make money. Don't beat yourself up about it, it will come.

Well look at the bright side.
50 cents is ten times more than what i have gotten.
    It doesn't really help,doesn't  it? :-)

adsense is not a new thing for me.. I could get around 30$/month from my blogs.. but hubpages is totally new for me and I'm still doubting it could add $$ for me.. although the success stories makes me want to try hubpages, and after i tried hubpages, i fell in love with the system and interface. I think i'll stick to hubpages anyway.

Hey Roffi! Congrats on completing the HubChallenge (really fast!) and don't worry, just give your Hubs a little time to mature over the next month or so and I'm sure you'll start seeing some results.

Good quality hubs with a little SEO backlinks will do wonders... Just give it 2 months and keep up doing hubs...You'll see a diference soon!

    Learn some patience, Grasshopper.

I'm sure you know that the perfect keywords have a good number of searches + good CPC + low competition.

Your "mini cell phone" hub shows promise, but your hub series on personal finance planning may be doomed. Number of searches per month are average, very high CPC, very high competition. Virtually every page returned on the 1st SERP is PR 5 to PR 7. That's going to be tough.

I don't think anyone is searching for a Nokia E52 cell phone, and if you think you're gonna break onto page 1 for generic "cell phones", hmmmm... Only if the hub has some age and high-quality backlinks.
