Please Help Me Find Someone

   I am reaching out to every hubber and I hope you reach out even farther. Via e-mail, knowledge whatever it takes to find this person. Time is of the essence and it is important that all of you assist me with finding this lost loved one.
   
   On April 15,1957 a very dear friend of mine was given up for adoption when he was 3 days old. He was born in Washington General Hospital to a 17 year-old young mother who's brother persuaded her to give him up. With tears in her eyes she willingly gave her son to a loving couple in Washington D.C. 52 years have past which would make her 69 years old. His mother told me that she was tall with dark hair and her son told me that he had found out that his father attended a University and graduated as an architect. When he tried to locate him in 1986 he was informed that they believe he had past away. We do not know if his birth mother is alive but we are hoping for the best. All of his adoption records were misplaced or destroyed and we are working on locating her with little information. He is caucasian and tall, quite handsome with a warm bubbly personality. If anyone of dear friends on HP can give ideas, clues etc. it would be appreciated. His adoptive mother is 80 years old and wishes to thank her, he wishes to know his history. This is taking a stab in the dark but hopefully we will eventually find this missing birth mother. I will also be writing a hub about this and I hope that we can reunite them.

      Having been adopted 2 times in my life - really ..twice before age 12 ... I can understand and will try to help as much as possible - I met my Dad at age 30 and knowing my history met alot to me - willing to help alll I can

      Don't know if your aware but there are people called search angels, they assist you for free, most of them have access to paid data bases to run searches, some are people who have access to information the normal person like you or I would never have access too.    I'm in a very similar -- waaaayyy similar situation.
   I was born to an unwed mother on May 19, 1957. She was a student in NJ but went to Texas to have me. Same deal. I was adopted (out of NYC) but the records are sealed.So if you find anything out... I would love to know how you and your friend found his mom.

   Aren't the records supposed to be unsealed when you turn 50?  That is what I have been told in the past.
   
   My dad is adopted... Born January 1, 1955, Denver, CO.  I would love to find out who his birth parents were/are.

   Adoption is a beautiful thing our son is also adopted but I could never deny him his true history or background. I thank each and everyone of you for your support and if you e-mail me I can provide more information.

   I don't know if you have a name to go by (as in the birthname.  It is very difficult without that information. 
   You could try http://washington.staterecords.org/?uid … MgQUNDRVNT , although you have probably been there.
   Another method, which may involve a membership fee, is to explore www.ancestry.com
   It is a very difficult task and I will give it some more thought.  Good luck.

   Another way is to write a hub with all the available information, which could be mailed to friends and thus could be forwarded and circulated around. My prayers are there with you

   AEvans sometime ago ,it was suggested that I try The Mormons website ( they keep records , of non-members as well ) and I was amazed they information on my dad !! who has never been in the states even ,so anythings possible.
   
   Also The Salvation Army also have an extensive database.

    I was going to suggest looking at the birth records on ancestry.com but Laurie got there already. If you have a date of birth you can look though all the babies registered in that quarter, then pick out ones that match the location. It would narrow it down a bit. Then I would go off to the records office and have a look for births on the actual birth date in that location. I doubt there would be that many. It may tell you also the mothers age (which you know) and which will be a useful pointer to finding the right birth.
    
    Once you find the correct birth certificate you can find mothers name. Then look to see if there are any marriage records for her and then any death records. It will take a while but definitely worth it.

    Any info on the father?  That might be an angle to work back to the birth mother.  His family had to know something.  Another long shot would be to google/bing the adopted childs name, birth date, adoption, in search terms.  Some families when doing family trees will include a child they know was put up for adoption and may include the info they may know, like birth date, hospital, etc.  It is a lot of work but you never know what you may find.
    
    Birth announcement in the newspaper?  May be there but given that the child was born out of wedlock!!
    
    There are some good suggestions on here.

       My son is adopted to and I love him to pieces I hope that is birthmother wants to see him when he is an adult and not push him away. My friend wants to find his mother and I am doing all that I can and why don't you want to find your birth parents?

    OK so here is the story behind why I am adopted. I call them egg donor and sperm donor. Sperm donor was Navy SEAL, hard core and egg donor worked in a bar. Sperm donor rode a motorcycle and got in a car accident, his leg having to be amputated. He knew about egg donor being pregnant with his kid but he didn't give rat's arse. After his accident he was given a desk job. He said screw it and up and left. So now egg donor was pregnant with me and working in a bar. She cam to the conclusion that she couldn't keep me and put me up for adoption. I have nothing against her, he is just on big @$$Hole in my books and never want to see him face to face. But I still don't want to see her because as far as it goes my parents are my parents....egg donor just had me that's it...she may be my biological mother but she still isn't my mother in my books.
    
    So only would want to know healthwise about the two nothing more
