Why has my Hub Score gone up?

I haven't been very active on Hubpages over the past week due to being busy with other things, but my hubscore has increased. When I write new hubs, get comments or traffic, my score goes down! How does this work??

This happens to me too, when I leave it for a day it seems to go up, I start answering questions, commenting and writing hubs and it goes down!

I am glad for you. I hope that it stays that way. I also found that the more I contribute, the worse my scores get with Hubpages. As for google traffic , well - Hubpages seems to be off the radar in Google search for most people here but Google has been handing out punishments to a lot of powerful websites so I don't really think it has anything to do with Hubpages. I think Google wants to be noticed but I feel they will become more irrelevant as time goes by. After all, they are just a bunch of tech people who made a popular search engine and they really don't contribute anything themselves. They just buy up popular things.

I think this could happen when someone has found you - either through something your answered, or through google. And that someone takes the time to go through all or many of your hubs. You get more reads - so your score goes up.

I wish I could answer that too. The day after I had hub of the day and answered more than 60 comments, participated in the forums and read and commented on other people's  hubs, my score went down four points to 88.

Sometimes even if you aren't active then other people are actively reading your hubs and your hubscore can go up.

It's always a good question that I'm not sure many people have the answer to. My hub score seems to drop if I don't do too much, and climb if I'm very active. Although I've just had a few days away from Hubpages and my hub score doesn't appear to have changed.

So all in all, I don't know I'm afraid. I'd say I hope this answer helps but I imagine it will just add to the confusion.

Am not sure, still quite new here. But I have noticed that when I am working on a new hub, the score goes down...but once the hub is published the score goes back up. But as far as commenting and being active are concerned i believe these increase the score.
