How do you become a good commenter?
I would love to know how to become a better commenter! I have no idea how people earn awards for that stuff, I comment quite often and always answer questions. I am just wondering how you can get better and possibly be at least a level one commenter thanks for the help!
There are no secrets.. You just have to be real and true to what you are commenting... Don't just comment, read, absorb the Hub and comment on what you feel the Hub has thought you, or how much it means to you.. That is basically it, just speak your mind!
Thanks Capedium! Your answer was very helpful I will try it out and hopefully I can soon become a level commenter.
I'm not sure if HubPages told anyone how to be a better commenter. I think they created the ranks to encourage people to make comments, rather than just read hubs.
My best guess, is that you need to have people vote your comments up using the green arrows near your comment. The more votes the better your doing. Most people vote for comments that provide more information on the topic or comments that provide unique insight.
Basically, if you write "Nice Hub, it was interesting." you won't get voted for, so you'll have to take your comments to the next level.

Do you delete hub comments that are very generic if it appears the commenter hasn't read the hub?I notice my more popular hubs will get comments left that are just generic like "this was great thanks". I have started deleting these comments because they don't add anything meaningful...

I love the new look of the hubs. The share buttons are in the right place (as evidenced by other popular blogs/site). My Hub Score has even gone up, although my Hubber Score continues to oscillate. What I don't understand is my commenter level has gone down. To be honest (and this is detrimental to...

This is strange. I was a level 3 commenter and have been commenting a lot in the last week, hopefully considered quality comments, but I went down to a level 2 commenter today. Does anyone know if Hubpages changed their commenting rules? I find this frustrating.

Hi everyone,In Hubs' Comment Capsules, we've made a few enhancements (coming very soon):- Comments left by the author of the Hub are reflected as "Hub Author" in a bubble next to the username.- Commenter level is indicated next to your username and when you left the comment.Note: If you...
