Help! Can't edit my text modules

Hi there, I'm hoping someone here has had this happen and can help me.

I am trying to edit a hub, and each time I try to edit the text module it won't let me do it. I get the pop up screen and then..nothing. All it will do is let me edit the title. The text module doesn't even have the usual bold, alignment etc buttons on it. The hub itself hasn't been published yet because it needs a lot more work done on it.

What else can I tell you?

I'm using Firefox as the browser, I tried a javascript debugger tool which is a plug in to Firefox that has worked before when pages don't load. That didn't work either. I tried closing the browser, and reopening it. Also logged out and logged back in. Then, I cleared the cookies hoping that would help. So far, no luck.

Has anyone else had this problem and worked out how to solve it?

    Thanks heaps.

I have been having similar problems and losing text. the only thing I have been able to do is refresh the page, then it's OK .... until the next time smile

It's frustrating, isn't it? I'll give refreshing the page a go and see if it works. It's about the only thing I haven't tried yet...

It is frustrating. I have been taking it as a gentle reminder to write everything in a separate doc and paste it in to the capsule smile

That's good advice. I started doing that after the last freeze, when I noticed that the spell checker had decided to become buggy as well, and I lost everything I'd written into the module.

Refreshing worked wonderfully, by the way. Thanks for the help. :-)

I was having the exact problem and this is what solved it, by following the directions of Paul Deeds....Here is his reply to my post a week or so ago....all i did was close all of my open windows or whatever you call it when you have a bunch of stuff left open and go completely out of everything and then go back, it solved my problem anyways...I also don't know what browser you are using, but I use both Firefox and Explorer and when one doesn't work that well, I use the other.... here is the reply from Paul:

The problem seems to be something peculiar to your computer, your browser configuration, or your network.  I attempted to edit a copy of one of your new hubs and had no trouble with it.  I'm really at a loss to explain the problems you are seeing.

If there is some text in the error messages you are seeing, or you can provide any more details it may help to diagnose things.

The generic steps I always suggest when problems are encountered with the site are: 1) close all your browser windows, 2) reopen your browser, 3) go to http://hubpages.com/, 4) hold down shift and press the refresh button (or F5 on your keyboard), 5) try what you were doing again.
