Well, I downloaded it, it seems a whole lot faster, but not i cannot edit the capsules at all. It will not update the photographs or allow me to edit the text in paragraph form....if i save it, it goes to preformatted text, so now i have to go back to IE i guess. I have been here all day doing one hub, it is so ridiculous....I don't know what is wrong.
I've been using FF for years and it works great on HP. I am thinking that some thing is stuffed with the particular hub you are editing - try starting a totally new hub - you can always delete it rather than publish it - get a new hub edit the text save, add some other capsule click the done editing button - does it look OK? If yes then the original hub is screwy - you may have to start again - if you NO then there is something more seriously wrong with your PC setup and you might have to seek some tech help on that one
Yes, I think you are right, but there is no way after working on this thing for a week now that I am going to put all the capsules into another hub. I am almost done editing it except for some minor details.....I am just going to publish it and move on.....I don't know what the heck is going on, I have never had this problem before.
From one who has lost it all on a number of ocasions I very very seriously recommend that you write in Word or (better) Open Office and then cut and paste into HP - the formatting doesnt come accross so dont waste your time with bullets - fancy text etc - but if it all goes to custard you have most of your IP still there!
I had this same problem in IE at work - I could type directly into text capsules, but if I tried to edit, or copy and paste from Word, it just wouldn't accept it. Photos weren't uploading either. Whereas I could use IE at home easily, and had no problems with Opera there either - on the same Hubs.
So I think it's more likely the PC, not the browser or the Hub. Maybe do a thorough spring clean - do a Disk Cleanup, scan for viruses and malware, etc. It may not have anything to do with it, but it's worth doing from time to time anyway!

Well, I was able to edit the capsule I have been trying to edit all day finally, but still having a bit of difficulty, it is like i can only edit one capsule at a time. Then I have to click done editing, then go back and forth like that w/ each capsule....and I have a bunch on this one. Anways, I am ready to scream, but that is ok....thx
I haven't been able to edit or create new text capsules for the past three weeks in both IE and FF. It is really frustrating since I have so many ideas I'd like to share and my hub score still keeps on sinking. I even tried it on another system, still no luck!
Glad your problem is being resolved though.
It's difficult for us to guess at what the problem is. There do seem to be several people reporting problems, but not much has changed on our side in the last couple weeks, and a record number of hubs were created and published yesterday.
If you could describe in detail what happens when you try to add a text capsule, or edit a text capsule, or save the changes to a text capsule it may help us help you.
The problem I am having is in the links capsule. Once you get more than 6 lnks the capsule will empty as it is being published. This has been ongoing for me and so I got around it by always using more than one link capsule. Today the second link capsule keeps disappearing as the hub is being published ie: http://hubpages.com/hub/Coffee-Roasting-at-home.
There is a link capsule between the heading for Green Coffee beans and the roast glossary.
It seems to have something to do with the volume of characters within ,not only the capsule, but the Hub itself? That is the longest hub I have created which is why wondered.
To all who are having problems editing text. If you have a problem copying and pasting from word: example: you paste and only get one paragraph inserted into the text box and the rest seems to have gone missing..... There is an active-x control that has to run in order for it to work. I have this same problem on one hub for three days. Finally I gave up and left it alone for about 4 days. When I came back and tried pasting again, I got a little note at the top of the browser saying this webpage would like to run so and so .dd active-x control. So, assuming that was why it wouldn'w work, I allowed it to run and it pasted like it was suppose to. The problem is, the next hub I went to post did the same thing as the last one by not pasting everything.....but this time NO little msg saying allow control to run..... So if ANYONE knows the name of the control that needs to run in order to make this work....please let me know so I can try to get back to POSTING! Thanks and hope this helps!
HAHAHA Actually...... I figured out something else. If you paste then select preformatting.... it all shows up. So I guess I am an idiot:) But maybe this will help someone else~

I am screaming with frustration! Most of my hubs have been unfeatured due to lack of traffic. I write about gardening which no one wants to read about in the winter. Spring is coming so I want to get my hubs featured again, but every time I try to edit them, I either get an error...
