I joined hubpages just today and quite excited about it.I read the FAQs and learnt that we could be affiliate to the site and invite our friends to join.Do I have to join the affiliate program from the link at the bottom of the page OR do I already have an affiliate link having already joined hubpages? If the latter is true then where to lookfor the affiliate link?Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
As soon as you signup you automatically get an affiliate code that you can place into links (it will be a jumble of letters and numbers). You can create more friendly looking affiliate codes and also check how many signups you have here:
The easiest way to create links with your affiliate trackers is to sign in to your account (if you aren't already) and then use the "link to this page" or "email this page" button that will appear in the footer of most pages on the site. Those pages will let you easily embed your tracker into the link for posting on a site or emailing to your friends.
You will find more details here about the program here:
Wow! Thanks So much ,Paul! I truly appreciate your help!.Yep, I was thinking what if I wanted to refer a friend through the yahoo messenger ? How could I get a url for that ? So, I visited the link you gave and found that our profile cookie will last on there pc for 120 minutes .So, that is saying we can refer people even with our hubpage profile url! (?) Please correct me if I am wrong with that and once again Thanks So much for the help!:-)
Yes you can refer people to just about any page on the site. The URL you would use to refer people to your profile page would be this:
"_2uiolid85tp7m" is your default tracker. You just need to make sure that is at the begining of the url.
Ah,got it.Thanks a bunch,Paul!:-) Wish I can help you in some way when you need help.

There are quite a few pages written about how to put a 'join here' referral on one's profile page. However, not a single one of those directions work. If I click on the links they provide, it says the pages aren't there.I've got it right twice now, but every time someone joins, it goes away again....

I have to issue a grovelling apology here, I stuffed up mightily. I posted an explanation of how to claim authorship with Google, and made one small but extremely important mistake. For those who followed the original advice, my sincere apologies. You need to edit your profile and...

I started the hubpages challenge the moment i started my account (two weeks ago). I now have 16 hubs, and 7 fans. I am finding it a little difficult to come up with topics daily, but the ideas come in time. Wish me luck as I write my way to 30 hubs!
