How do you make a screen shot?

On some hubs I see pictures of a computer screen used to demonstrate a point.  How do you make these screen shots?

I downloaded a screenshot app to take pictures of partial of full screens. But if for any reason you are unable to get an app you can always use the print screen function on your keyboard to get the image.

The quick and easy way: Get the screen set up that you want to have a picture of. Hit the PRINT SCREEN Button (it will seem like nothing happened. Go to another application (i.e. MS Word or picture editor) and hit paste. Your screen shot will appear. I am really not a techy person, so that is about all I have to offer. Seems to work for me.

I agree with the Pint Screen button on the keyboard. In addition to this, If you want to capture a specific windows and not your whole desktop, press ALT+Print Screen. This will only capture the foreground window.  I use this frequently for writing tutorials. You can crop these images in photo editing or graphics manipulation software such as Photoshop or GIMP. I have a Hub about free Windows software that covers the photo editing software.

These are all great answers to my question.  I only have one problem, I have a Mac.  I don't think I have a 'print screen' button.  At least not an obvious one.  Now any suggestions?  Thanks.

I used "Fraps" application on Windows but can't tell that it'll work on Mac systems. You may try it otherwise there is an application named "Screenflow" which is available for Mac. This application is quite helpful for recording and saving HD screenshots on Mac versions.
