How do I discover the Hubpage contest before they are closed to contestants?
HubPages will put a contest link next to the links for your user account, notifications, start a new hub, etc up at the top of the web page. Generally HubPages will put the announcement of the contest up a few weeks to a month in advance so that you can have time to prepare your submissions. Just keep your eyes open for the contest link up at the top of the page and you'll be sure to see the next contest HubPages has.
1) They are announced a month or two in advance in the HubPages blog. For example, they have announced a cooking hub contest for the month of June.
2) When a contest is in progress, the word "contest" will be added to the top of your HubPages window. It will be located in the black bar "explore notifications..." and will be in green font rather than white.
Keep your eyes on the forums and the blog a couple of weeks in advance of them opening!

I find it kind of ridiculous that I have been waiting for a couple weeks now for one of my hubpages to be published. What was the longest time you have ever had it take to get a hubpage to publish?

I keep trying to connect to Google Adsense but the URL I am using from my account page gets the message: Add personal account URL, this is a "hosted account." Where do I find my personal URL for Hubpages to hook up Adsense?

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that the main thing that has dragged hubpages down in this latest algo change is the amount of crappy content posted on here over the years. I understand the reasoning behind the latest changes regarding ad placement and reduction of amazon and ebay links and I...
