Has anyone recovered from the early May traffic slump?
My views have since shot back to their original level and have even exceeded 1000 a day recently. I can't help but wonder why traffic dropped like that in the first place? I made very few edits to my hubs and traffic came back regardless?
Nope not here. Zip. Zero. Nil. Great news for you though!
:-( Wow I'm really sorry to hea that WorkAtHomeMums. That's really odd..?
At least I'm not alone but great news for those who have recovered or still on their way back. Il guessing since I'm so new my hubs still have not found their feet really anyway or maybe I've done a bad keyword job. Cant win them all
Could it be because my Hubpages account is over a year old perhaps? I've only recently started to publish content in earnest, but maybe the age of the account has something to do with it?
I didn't have a drop but then I have been focusing on promoting my hubs this month.
I think I spoke too soon. My traffic started falling again within a day of posting this. I'm down to about 49 visits from google.com instead of the 600+ I was getting. I wish they could just make up their minds!
Hmm my views are gone down a bit but their still higher than usual. I guess my hubs that are now popular are weekend hubs? Before the popular ones were weekday hubs. The weekday hubs have the usual traffic. Thats great SKCandles what do u plan?
I saw no effect in early May. What I saw was that on April 24 (Penguin day), my traffic shot up to 160% of what it had ever been before--and has held there. Prior to that date, it had averaged 6 page views per day (total account) for nearly four months due to one of the Panda bites.

By "the plunge", I mean specifically mean suddenly losing over 80% of traffic during the period from the 10th August* up until the present (technically speaking, it's the google traffic that goes, of course, incoming traffic from links is unaffected).By "recovered" I mean...

When Panda hit I was a newbie so was not affected directly. Buy When the Penguin swooped down on us I was badly affected. I though those hubs that were doing great would never fully recover. The hubs I saw taking off and earning me money were new hubs. My best performers pre-penguin were...

So I have 2 accounts here. This one is my main writing site. I write to provide information and never tried hard to make money or optimize for SEO or any of that. This account has 29 hubs. I used to get over 20 google views a day over those hubs (most views on one or two hubs). In the last 7 days,...

Overall I've been pretty lucky with the whole Panda thing - I lost about half my HubPages traffic after the first one but recovered, and only one of my websites got seriously hit.Just when I thought I was out of the woods, my best performing website lost about 30% of its traffic in mid-November,...

I was just wondering how successful people are with the Hubpages ad program and if anyone had managed to make payout in one day yet. I have yet to earn over $5 in one day from the ad program. How about everyone else?
