Have you ever changed the topic category of a Hub after it was published?
Ever publish a Hub under one topic category and after it was published decide that the original topic category may not be the best category for it? Did you change the topic category or leave it? Did it change the traffic to your Hub?
Yes. One hub seemed to be sticking so I changed the category (I had been unsure which to use originally); it worked and the traffic increased considerably. Some hubs fit two or more categories so it pays to switch if one doesn't work very well.
It's a learning curve and all adds to your hubpages experience for future use. I guess in the end you get a 'feel' for which category is best; you can also look at other similar successful hubs and go with those categories.
Thanks bankscottage! I'm surprised you didn't have more answers as I can't possibly be the only person who's done this. Anyway, I appreciate you voting and wish you well with your hubs. All the best, Ann
Ann, you and I may be the only 2 Hubbers that admit that we did it. Congratulations and thanks for answering my question.
