AdSense eCPM Question

Obviously I am still relatively new here.

No worries, I know better not to post any numbers.

On to my question: I'm looking at my stats, and I've noticed on several various days I will have impressions, no clicks, no earnings, but a number will appear in the Page eCPM column.

Where does this number come from? I know how Page eCPM is calculated, but if there are no clicks, shouldn't impressions x 0 = 0?

I know some $ is paid on just impressions, but the earnings column also reads 0.

I guess I'm just confused as to how my Page eCPM can be anything other than 0 in this instance.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I would think the only people who could give you an answer on this would be the folks at AdSense.

This will go a little way towards explaining it:

eCPM is "effective cost per mille"

Though some advertisers opt for CPM ads.
