How do I make a link for people to sign up for HP.   I used it once and have forgotten.

It is something like cam8510.hubpages.com/new/user    Anyway, that is what I would like to find out.  I know it's in some part of the helps, but I can't find it.  Thanks

    It's /user/new not /new/user (the latter will get a 404 page).

I actually prefer to send folks to the hubs instead of the sign up page so they can get a look around and decide if they want to join. It won't matter on your referral as long as they sign up within a certain time (24 hours?).

You might also consider making some referral trackers that you can insert so you know from where the referral came. You can make up any name for the referral tracker, then when you make the URL put an underscore in from of it and place it in the URL after *.hubpages.com

So, if you made a tracker for, say, Facebook named FBTracker your URL would look like:
    cam8510.hubpages.com/_FBTracker/hubs

Casimiro, thank you so much for the information.  I am currently using referral trackers for my hubs and placing them on fb, G+ and Twitter.  Those are very helpful at bringing in traffic.  So sign-up tracker won't do more than the referral trackers?

Hi! It depends on the page you want to send them to. The example below takes the reader to the actual sign up page. By the way, you will need to log out to see what the reader will see. If you are logged in it appears differently.

    Official sign up page:
    without tracker https://  hubpages.com/user/new/
    with tracker https://  hubpages.com/_missolive/user/new/
(I added spaces to deactivate the link)

Also, this topic is covered within the Learning Center and specifics of sending a reader to the sign up page can be found within the following Hub: Referral Trackers & The HubPages Referral Program http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/referral-program

Hope this helped, MissOlive / Marisa

MissOlive, Thank you.  That is a great help.  I want to use that along with referral trackers so that I get credit if someone signs up for HP.  These tools are very helpful.  Thanks for responding.
