   What do you get from HubPages?
   
   I feel I gain confidence, there are actually people that are reading my work... And liking it! I also get a feeling of motivation.

   I feel the same.
   
   To add to that, I feel a sense of community. For the most part, the people I interact with are very encouraging and we all try to help each other achieve our goals. It gives me a sense of belonging.

   I feel the same way as Goody5.  It is fun because I can read article from people I know will entertain and educate me.  Also I love the question and answer section.

   I like the variety of reading hubs on many different subjects.  There are so many people with different interests on the site, and its fun to see what they have to say.

   I feel the same as you. When I write something that gets big interest, I actually feel a little bit important! When I got hub of the day I was ecstatic, It felt like I had a second child haha

   Certainly what you say is right. What really matters in hubpages is the community. They are certainly very encouraging and I always find positive comments on my hubs. Hubpages also boosts up our courage and determination of working harder by awarding all those accolades. Don't you feel excited when you receive an accolade?

   I, like the others, get a lot from HubPages. I do get giddy receiving an Accolade, because I know how hard I work to write each Hub. It is a reaffirmation of a job well-done. And, HubPages is a community that I have grown quite fond of. I enjoy finding new Hubber friends and checking up on my "follower/followed" Hubbers. I look to all of these and many more for inspiration. Thanks for posing the question!--Deb

    I often am told I should write a book or a blog because of my wide swath of experiences or interests. I travel a lot, I love cooking gourmet food and easy to make dishes, I experiment a lot, I am adventurous, and I just tend to think outside the box.
    
    Writing a book takes a lot of time I don't have, and is unlikely to sell. So HubPages gives me the ability to share some experiences, some favorite recipes or products, and generally have an outlet for a lot of my more interesting stories.
