Can any one help? I have just joined a couple of days ago, published my first hu

    Can any one help? I have just joined a couple of days ago, published my first hub but am still not

    Able to create my profile.  Nothing will save and all imputed information just simply disappears after hitting save. I have emailed the editor and will wait to hear back. Until then, perhaps some one can let me know if they have had similar problems as well.

    Welcome Bobbi. Congrats for your first hub and best of luck for more to come from you. Now coming to your question, after you click on Publish it goes under review by HP team, and then shall be open for public to view it. It will take about 24 hours as i have experienced. So sit back and enjoy writing. [Smiles]

    There's an initial 24 hour period. After that, it should be okay. If not, hopefully the editor will get back to you soon. Sometimes, they take a long time to respond.

    Hi Bobbi and welcome to hp. Your first hub looks good! I think your question was why your profile won't save, not your hub, correct? I tried to click on your name and pic and got nothing. Very strange, sounds like a glitch. Try clearing everything, including your pic, reload, and start a new profile. I hope it straightens out for you soon. Also, repost your question under "technical" in the forum so the right person can help you. Good luck, see you around.

    If the 24 hour review isn't the problem, it could be the version of brower you are using. I have Windows 7, that and all prior versions now run into many issues with current websites. I was unable to upgrade on my computer, so I installed Firefox.

    If that saving problem is still occuring, you could try a newer version of windows or install Firefox and try accessing this site that way. (I have to use Firefox to work on sites like Wordpress and a few of my personal websites). They have made many changes over the passed 6 months on Hubpages, it is hard to tell all the effects. The profile is new too, as you find people to follow; you will find some writers with the "old profiles".

    Welcome to the community. It is very enriching, I love the engaging atomosphere and tremendous learning experience it offers. I hope you find some of the same qualities as you get to know Hubpages.

    Jut wait til someone from HP to respond..they will walk you through..give them another day them contact them again...as far as publishing a hub..it takes up to 24 hours before it is visible to the public ( only you can see it )I'm not sure where or what the problem or situation is..sorry, good luck...

      They still have not responded in several days. So I did just try out another computer as I was working off of my iPad and I could successfully create my profile. Still disappointed that I never did hear from them still after several days.

    So nice to see you here on Hubpages.  Your first hub is published.  That is something to celebrate!  It looks like your problem has been solved.  Good for you to have the sense to bring your questions to the forum.  I've been here 2 years and still post questions here.  I always get great help.  Looking forward to reading your hubs.smile

    Wow, I send out many thanks to you. Although I've just began I certainly feel it's a celebration. I'm finally doing something I love to do and can hardly believe that I have just discovered this site by chance. Not sure if the problem is resolved yet but I will go into my profile now and try again. Take Care for now and I look forward to reading you hubs as well!

    Bobbi, I had a problem somewhat like yours, which led me to use Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. For some reason, things were just not posting or saving. Never had the problem with Google Chrome. I do not know if this will help, but just thought I would mention it anyway. Good luck. - C.J.
