Why can't I see my HubPages profile on google search?
So I tried googling my profile (cuttler.hubpages.com) on google search and all I got was a bunch of crap...in yahoo search there was nothing same as bing. Should I be concerned?
You may not have been indexed yet by Google or other search engines.
I have a hub about submitting your URL to search engines (if you need guidance on the process, it's on my profile - I just don't like to leave links in answers/comments).
You can also use Google webmaster tools, but it depends on your knowledge of the internet, as to how helpful they will be. This is an advanced tool, which is great, but can be confusing.
Another way is to ping your site. Mass-ping and bulkping are good websites for this.
However, personally I submit the URLs of new sites using the method in my hub, then ping new articles when they are published to get the indexed too.
Hope it helps
Thanks mate. Am definitely going to look at that hub for more info. As for using the other webtools, well as u said, its too tricky. I tried some while back but its a twiisted maze. Maybe if u are good at it u may create a hub on the same. Thanks ag
What were you expecting to see when you searched?
I just entered cuttler.hubpages.com into Google. Here's what came up:
(1) This question
(2) Your Hub "GRAPEFRUIT: Dangers Of Grapefruit"
(3) Your question "Do you have a mentor on Hubpages?"
(4) Your question "How do you use the hubpages rss feeds?"
Hi? Thanks for answering. Well thats just it. I expected it to lead to my profile directly. I actually retried with bing n the first result was my profile. I guess google hasnt noticed my profile yet because i wenyt through all those search results n
If you have added summary of your hubs, surely you will have visibility in cyber space and that will of course highlight you when you try google search. I am sure because I followed that way and got good prominence when I search my name on google search. sharing on face book and twitter will give you good result. Please try and convince yourself.
When I read your question I just google my profile it shows all the hub and the questions, comment and forum wherever I took part it showed.
I typed geetbhim on hubpages and result showed to me.
Even I did for you cuttler on hubpages first I was not able to see because it read as "cutler" I re- type it for cuttler and all your hub is seen and your activity too.
Check for the spelling.
I tried entering your profile address in the brower search line. HubPages comes up but it says the user does not exist. If you have a profile then the address must be different than the one you have above and that is probably the reason that you cannot see it when you do a Google search. I would contact the HubPages staff for assistance. ~WB

Okay, this is why I dreaded the coming changeover -- Google authorship was working just fine under the old format, but the new profile page won't recognize my Google profile URL because I have an old Google member profile.Which works just fine with Google authorship, but Hubpages' new profile...

Hello:I just read the hub on how to link google+ to my hubpages profile, but under my profile, links, I only have facebook and pinterest. Am I looking in the right place? In the hub, did Simone mean to edit my google+ profile or my hubpages profile? Either way I cant find a page where I can add my...

Hello Beautiful Souls,Has anyone else noticed that when we click the author's name on network sites, it takes us back to their HubPages profile? I was reading on forums yesterday that Google search engines are not picking up articles that were once ranking high on Google. Is it something that is...

I have to issue a grovelling apology here, I stuffed up mightily. I posted an explanation of how to claim authorship with Google, and made one small but extremely important mistake. For those who followed the original advice, my sincere apologies. You need to edit your profile and...

I know there are several issues with this. Firstly, the network sites can't link back to Hubpages because of the reputation of the site and it being sort of a taboo domain to link to as regards Google (Is this a permanent problem, or does a site "get out of jail" eventually?) Also some...

Can anyone help me to understand how to achieve a ranking of 4 on Google for a HubPages profile page? It is mentioned in this HubPages blog article "The More You Publish, the More Traffic Per Hub" by Jason Menayan and I would love to understand the...
