What can you do to undo an accidental 'Thumbs Down'?

As I was scrolling over and preparing to click on the 'Thumbs Up' button on a hub; I prematurely clicked and hit the Thumbs Down button! I thought, oops, I'll undo it; but it wouldn't let me. I don't want to negatively affect someone's hub. There has to me something I can do!? Help me, please?

Aw, sweetie, I do not know, but things seem extra sensitive here, as I was scrolling up a hub and an ad popped up that I did not even click and scared me to death, so I tried to get out of it as soon as possible.  Well, maybe try clicking the thumbs up to make up for it, if it will let you.  One time I accidentally deleted the best answer on one of my questions, as I meant to comment again, but deleted the best answer!  I was mortified and went to that hubber's mail and apologized and let him or her know it was an accident.  Maybe tomorrow, it will let you click the thumbs up or log off and log on again.  I hope someone knows the answer and I hope it can be undone. Look forward to seeing what others know on this issue.  Hugs and love, Faith Reaper

I deleted an answer by accident once, too, and I felt really bad about it - it was a good answer. There should be an "are you sure you want to delete this?" message!

Yes, I agree Georgie, as I felt so bad.  Then last night, I was commenting on my own hub and out of the blue a message popped up that you are not suppose to share own hubs, and I was not sharing but commenting, so something is very sensitive?

My Sweet Faith Reaper! Oh, I have accidentally opened an ad myself and I thought I'd get kicked out of the HP community! I guess opening and closing pages and flipping through so many hubs, there will be boo boos from time to time. I feel awful,

I know you an undo 'useful', 'funny', 'awesome', beautiful' and 'interesting', but as many times as I tried undoing the thumbs down, I just kept getting the same message. HP thanking me for helping keep good content in the community' I was mortified!

I honestly don't know if this will work, but refresh the page and see if it will allow you to "thumbs up" the Hub? Maybe that will at least negate your down vote?

I wish I'd have seen this last night Georgie! I was so upset, I went searching for answers and when I  had no luck, I was too bummed to hub anymore and just went to bed. I suppose I can revisit the hub and give it a thumbs up. What does a thumbs down

Just breathe smile It won't affect it at all. Some of my best performing hubs are on subjects that people tend to "thumbs down" if they simply don't agree - but all the thumbs up, comments, other votes etc will quickly override one accidental thumbs down - no need to feel guilty about it.

As for the accidental ad clicking - you won't get thrown out of here for that either so long as it is only a very rare occurrence.  It's all good - life is good smile smile - it's ok.

Good to know ChristinS about the ads!  It keeps happening to me, so I guess I need to slow down a bit!  It should not activate an ads if one is just scrolling back hub on a hub.  Oh well.  I will slow down.

Thanks ChristinS! That's good to know! I'm not sure I even like the idea of the thumbs down; don't you think it's probably abused?

I know it has the potential to be abused, which is another reason I don't think it counts as much, especially if it's just one among a lot of thumbs up - it will be seen as accidental or just one of those things smile

I think I did the same thing one time, and if I'm not mistaken, I just hit the thumbs up button and it highlighted. I don't know if it negated the down or not, but it's worth a try.
And at least now I know who is giving me all the thumbs downs!  : )

Right after I accidentally hit the Thumbs down, I purposely, violently and repeatedly hit the Thumbs up and I couldn't get it to light up! I think HP is trying to punish me... lol
