Is there a new requirement for copyright info? I keep getting info that mine is incorrect. Confused

I have been putting the 'source' for my photos under my photos. Now I am getting a LOT of notifications that I have copyright in text capsules. (In a few, very few I did have the copyright info near the top of the page or in the center of the page.) But I am going to hubs that are highlighted in blue on my account page and I open to edit and see it telling me I have copyright info in text capsules when I do not. So do they want us to remove the info about the source of a photo and put it at the bottom with our copyright info  for the article? Help needed please.

Are you talking about copyright info for photos?  I don't know what you mean about copyright in text capsules. Could you post an example of a hub with this issue? Thanks.

Hubpages has given us a uniform copyright to use. There is a post written by Robin explaining why. I am sorry I can't remember exactly where it was. To access it, just go to the side of your hub while editing, you will see "Display Options." That will give the feature that has been added to the site. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Oh, yes, I've seen that copyright. Read the blog post regarding it being better than the copyrights typed out in a text capsule. Do you have those? It doesn't have anything to do with the credit given for photos.

That's a copyright for the entire hub though not photographs. Perhaps she is mistaken that it's saying this for her photos? that would be my guess.

I just noticed this the past two days, and if you want, there is a place while you are in edit mode to the right and way on down under OPTIONS where you can choose to have your ads on or off, but now they have it where you can have them put the copyright on there instead of you typing it at the end of your hub.  I thought initially it was a good idea and did some, but then I just decided to keep my own typed in there in lieu of HP putting it on there, as when I type hubs in Word I just go ahead and type it at the end anyway.

It has nothing to do with your photos, pstraubie48. The notification is referring to when you write your own copyright (your name and year) in the text capsule. HP wants us to use the standard one they created which has the year the hub was first published. Across from that, to the far right, the date the hub was updated will appear. I'm a little torn with it, as Faith Reaper said. Some I've changed to use HP's and some I've left with my own.

Thanks  I saw their standard copyright info. I already had copyright info on the page so do they went us to change our info on every hub? i thought they must have meant photos since I already had copyright showing. Thanks again.   ps

Hi! Patricia, if you remove yours and add the HP copyright notice, the message will go away. (:
