Once I got past fifty I started finding all change frightening. Once I was Bart. Now I'm Granpa.

Very Chic - It's nice the way you show the pics of the Hub too.

    Cheers. smile

Okay, this HubFeed is really starting to grow on me. Decided to give it a try today and played around a bit. I can see that I might spend too much time with it. Great job Larry and everyone else!!!

Hub feeds are a good thought. Please do something about show more button in fed page. When we click show more , it takes some time to load more content below. If show more took us to a new page , it would have been nice.

I just played around with this a little more.  I do think its a convenient way to be able to tab thru diff't areas... But, 2 things...

Is status just a little fun add on - kind of like facebook? Or is there something I'm missing?
I can't see the authors of new hubs- only their avatars.  Is this a setting I can change? If not, I'd love to see it updated to include the author's name.

The old hubtivity is still available. http://hubpages.com/hubtivity - bookmark it so you can use it when you want.  I tried comparing hubtivity to HubFeed side-by-side in two windows.  That comparison made me a lover of the new HubFeed. You do have to set your filters (right side column of HubFeed) so it gives you only what you want.

Wow, another portal to see every single forum post someone makes, kinda like an extra intense situation there being that more people will be reading my message here as-well.

It also means anything spammy people do get viewed there too aye?

    Hello feed readers!

Just had a look and on the whole I like it! smile However I am not sure about being able to comment without reading.

I am loving the new Hub Feed.  I find very interesting hubbers and hubs that I'm not following, by sometimes, just reading the comments of other hubbers.  I also like the fact that you can "star" a hub for reading later.  The only draw back, for me, is that now I read much more than I write.  I'm truly addicted to the feature, being that reading is my first love.  One thing I'd like to ask, though. On the "LIKE" portion, am I "LIKING" the comment or the hub?  Just asking.

If the story says "So-and-so commented on the Hub ..." then you are "liking" the comment.

Cool, I just tried and it was useful... you can get track of the interesting hubs of other Hubbers... another innovative approach from HP... Thanks Sir Paul for this development... big_smile

It's different; that's for sure.  i don't know though . . . is it possible this will just just further distract peolpe from actually reading and writing hubs?

To tell you the truth wsp2469, I find hubs that I would have ordinarily not heard about, on Hubfeed.  But on the other hand I do find myself a little distracted, because do I love to read, so I'm a little behind on my writing

        Well, maybe that's good then.
Readers are what I care about here.  i get paid to write elsewhere.
HERE it's all about the writing to me.
my boss tries to get me into that money-making thing here but it's just too involved for me.
Besides, I'm not an ad man.
        I'm a writer.

Okay.  I am using both now but I don't know if I am doing anything with the one that I could not do with the other.
Then again, most of you don't even know I'm here unless some uptight housewife or crabby/jaded/worn out single mom gets annoyed by what I say in the forums.  Then she turns me in to admin and suddenly you see this stranger who used to have an 89 by his face b*tching about his hubs being bulk-flagged and sporting a score of 59-LOL!
I don't care though . . . I know more about the rules now so that won't be happening much anymore!
(I see yet another attractive lady working for Hubpages!)
Seriously, the jury is still out as far as I am concerned.  I'm not sure about one thing though: will others be able to see all the comments I make to other hubbers now at the touch of a button?  I have less than 80 fans so I tend to sometimes get a little personal--in a good way--so i am just wondering.

    Hey,
Bein able to write, read and comment on threads is WHY I joined Hub pages in the first place. The interactions and differing opinions help people to see things in a different way. Recently I asked a question and was really happy with the responses...many of which helped me...even the ones that said things I really did not want to hear. Diversity makes life great.
    Cheers

I think this has been a wonderful addition o Hubpages. The Hubfeed lets you know who is following you and then you can go and visit their hubs, and read and if you wanted to follow them back, make a comment as well, if necessary. Great Idea Hubpages thank you for this  Beautybabe.

I'm new, so I don't really understand all the implications, but it sounds like a great way to make hub pages more effective, so fantastic, I'm all for what makes the community more connected.

I've been using the feed all day.  It's really great, however, I agree with a few of the others that, commenting should be made available only after reading a hub.

I found myself side stepping the opportunity and clicking on the link to the hub to read when something grabbed my attention.  But I'm not so sure everyone will do this if the option to just write a comment is available.

Just my opinion, thanks so much for all the hard work on the continuous improvements and updates to this site.  It is greatly appreciated.

    Sage
