I'm just writing my first Hub (on productivity) and realized that I could illustrate the concepts really well with a video.
I'd like to post the video on YouTube (and grab the embed code for the Hub Page from there).
And in the video, I'd like to mention the name of my website at the start ... and show the URL at the end.
Would that be considered too promotional for a Hub Page?
Thanks for the guidance, SweetiePie and College!
A follow-up question that has occurred to me, based on C.P.'s reply ...
If I'm showing my own website URL in the video, it would NOT be appropriate to link to that website anywhere within the text of the hub.
Have I got that right?
I think it would depend whether you were linking to a range of reference sites, or just one.
I don't think hubpages can "see" a URL in a YouTube video anyway
Many thanks, guys.
I want to make sure to be wearing a White Hat with my first hub.
It would have gone completely unnoticed if you hadn't mentioned it

Hi Hubbers,This is the first time that I've had one of my hubs not featured so quite disappointed. I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process on my Hub 10 Reasons You Should Move to Ireland. Help! I woke up this morning to find that one of my mid-range performing hubs, "What is Creation, by Definition?" (http://lauraschneider.hubpages.com/hub/What-is-creation) had plummeted to a score of 55. It was 74 on Sept. 8th, 2013, and I know it is a well-written article with 3...

In order to add your own video to a hub, do you have to join youtube first, upload your video, then put it in the hub capsule? I wish I could upload my videos like I upload my photos.

I had a Hub published about two years ago. The score on it was 83 and it received fairly good traffic. I recently edited it to add some additional info and a website for that info. That made two external links related to my research. As soon as I edited the Hub, it went back...

Can someone please explain this to me, as this hub was on HubPages for YEARS and saw a ton of traffic, but then I took it down... and only recently decided to bring it back, because I remember how helpful it was and how well it performed. The hub's purpose is to prove if Bodybuilding is really the...
