I just got two pics snipped on the forums. One was a naked girl from the side, no nipples, no genitalia. Quite a few of similar pics were posted here during the years I am active on the site.
The second was a bikini pic. Yes, no nudity, plain bikini pic.
Both were snipped, nude one with "no adult content on the forums" comment, bikini one without any explanation.
So, my question to the team - is it an overzealous newbie moderator, or I missed on a policy change?
Thank you
PS I am posting this on the forums cause I think I am not the only one with such a question.
Misha, a completely naked girl is nude, whether you can see her naughty bits or not, and it's far too much like a porno magazine for my taste. I've only started seeing those on people's profile pics and forum pictures since Badco came along - surely there are plenty of other places to see naked women?
Bikini pic - no idea. Unless it was really a g-string and pasties?
LOL Marisa, I don't have a habit of publishing naked girls just for a sake of it, you know me. They were there to make/illustrate a point.
And no g-strings, good ole bikini front shot, you see much riskier outfits on the beach LOL.
Misha (and everyone) -
One picture had nudity (bare bottom) - not acceptable in any forum or Hub. The other was a bikini shot, which is acceptable only in the category:
Sexy Pictures & Videos
Since many of our users and advertisers object to this kind of content, we would like to keep it in this category where you know what you are getting.
Thank you,
Jason
That is amazing judging by some of the avatars I have been seeing of late....
What's wrong with a bikini anyway, silly if you ask me. No-one would complain about a bloke wearing boxers on hubpages, so why is it so different for a woman in a bikini. You wouldn't bat an eyelid if both were on a beach would you, so what is the problem with the images on hubpages?? Why is a body such a shameful thing exhibited in a non-sexual way anyhow? Not logical, it is how we were born!!!
LOL Cindy, you can send me yours privately
If seriously, I guess Jason said it all - it comes from advertisers. I am with you in being puzzled with that, but I don't really care too much - rules are rules - and I can leave under about any rules as long as they are stated.
Give me until the Summer Misha, then I can send you a proper bikini shot, right now I have none and too cold to model for a new one
Thank you! And I do hold my breath in anticipation
LOL, be patient and I shall try to accommodate you in the Summer Misha
I didn't make you wait, and yet I get no compliments.

There's been a lot of discussion of forum rules and policies recently, as well as criticism of the HubPages staff, so Paul and I agreed that a thread reiterating our position was in order. The rules are very clear:No personal attacks in the forums. Substantive debate and differences of opinion...

I'm thinking about putting together such a draft code of conduct. The basic idea is to make the forum rules more transparent and specific, which should make it easy for everyone to see what is allowed and what is prohibited. It would be voluntary for people to sign up to it, of course - at least to...

I’ve been reading many questions on the forums about how to get more traffic to your hubs. I’m a great believer in testing something, analysing the results, refining and sharing, and I approached the subject of how to get hub views in a practical methodical way. I’ll share my techniques below and...
