    Who to Follow?

In some way I'm getting increasingly stuck in following other Hubbers. From time to time I'm followed by a newbee and when it's worthwhile, I follow back. But this goes as fast as thick dung. I see some Hubbers following over thousands of other Hubbers. Where did they find all these people?
A while ago HP had a feature at the right side with suggestions who to follow, but this disappeared.
How to do this now or am I missing something crucial?

Why isn't there a list of Hubbers that you can browse through? Or am I supposed to browse whole day on HP to find other Hubbers? How do you do this?

It is up to you how you use the follow feature.
You can follow authors whose Hubs you find interesting as well as follow topics, Hubs, questions, and forum threads.

You can see what you are following here.
    http://hubpages.com/my/activity/topics-following

It isn't the same thing as following on Facebook or other social media sites, so you don't need to follow anyone unless you would like updates related to the content they publish here.

You may want to check out the site feed and look for content that is on interest to you or select Explore and Hubs from the navigation menu at the top of the site to find content as well.

This are usually people who are just following a large number of random authors, partially because they don't understand the purpose of following on the site.

At the risk of sounding like a total snob, I only follow those whose writings interest me and who show some semblance of basic writing abilitiy....which is why I have 400 something followers but I only follow 70 something of them back. I wouldn't have time to read hubs by 400 followers anyway.
