Yes, it can, i have mamy hubs on food too, but stellar hubs needs good picture and detailed instructions
but stellar hubs should be around 1150 words i think sometimes a recipe doesnt need to be too long. I personally like to read 'to the point' recipes. what do you guys think. I mean a recipe can be around 700 words and its enough .? Am I right?
yes a recipe hub can be stellar it just has to be lined out and formatted with great detail and good photos .

Take one of your old hubs, update it with new content, better photos, improved titles and add some additional modules (make it a stellar hub effectively) and then post it here for critique!

I think I know something about writing articles. I created a new hub yesterday. HubPages took 24 hours before declaring, in one of their mystery messages, that it was of sufficient quality. You know what? It was too good. I deleted it and will now easily place it elsewhere and earn with it.No...

I suppose with the latest Google Panda update and all the low traffic we've been getting, I guess it's time to start writing more hubs. While I wasn't affected too badly by the update, I still want to increase my traffic and hit payout next month or the month after. I want to hit 80 hubs by the end...
