   I'm desperately trying to work today as I am way behind in the challenge. Only 14 days to go and I need to finish 25 hubs to make the goal of 30 in 30. Ooof, that is like what almost 2 hubs a day. Hmmm...might be doable if I keep working,

       Glad you enjoyed.  Its one of the cornier jokes I know, but always makes me smile.  Partially because, a friend told me the joke, and she had been told it by her 7yr old nephew.  He had no idea why it was funny... just thought it was some funny joke about Frosty and was telling the whole family one day!
       
       If you liked that one, here's another total cornball.
       
       A pirate walked into a bar w/ a ship's steering wheel between his legs.
       
       The bartender said, "Sir, are you aware that you have a ship's steering wheel between your legs?"
       
       The pirate replied (remember to read this w/ a cheesey pirate accent), "Arrgghhh.  I know... It's driving me nuts."

    I just put up a forum post in Help too.  But, are any of you guys having trouble with HP today?  I can get around the forums, I can look at my accounts, and even edit/write hubs.  But, I can't view any hubs at all... mine or anybody else's.

    TS - no trouble here with hp hubs - maybe sign out, sign back in and try again - maybe something just didn't load right when you signed in.

       I published already... I'm just very tired today, and can't quite decide if its done or not.  So, for once, I decided to throw caution to the wind and just hit publish. 
       
       Its funny, this one is well thought out, and I don't know if I like it.  Meanwhile the last one I published was total spur of the moment, and I have no thoughts of revising...

       Just posted back!  Too funny about the afghan... see my comment. (Well, I'll repost a little of it here anyway - I actually got an afghan for our wedding, and its one of my favorite gifts... that's probably why it stuck in my head for use in the article. A little creative freedom there as our afghan is so well loved that it never gets put away w/ the other blankets.  Just stays on the couch where it has happily lived for almost 10years.)

          Not all that new.  Just slow on hubs. I don't have a lot of free time to write.  I've been around for about 4 months.  And have been on this thread for quite a few pages.  But, I had about a week I didn't get on much when a bunch of you guys started popping in.
          
          I'm very new to online writing though.  I used to write a lot, and sort of got caught up with life and got away from it.  I decided I needed it back in my life, and came here.  So, I bounce in and out as time allows and just sort of keep plugging along.
          
          Thanks for reading though.  I'm getting close to 1000 page views, and, although I know its not a lot by HP standards, I'm really excited.

    TS I have those same memories from my own mom's couch and the afghans that have resided there over the years. They have changed with the decor but were always ever present.
    
    I don't know there is just something about a handmade item for a gift that really touches the heart especially if the new couple can snuggle under it. Hehe...

       I agree.  Maybe I should add that into the hub.  I loved the handmade stuff we got... it was the 10 crystal bowls that mystified me.  I still don't know what to do with them.
       
       (from 10 different people... Never thought I gave off an "I love crystal bowls" kind of vibe.)

    Just breezing by, but WHEE!!! I hit 1000 page views!  I know its not a lot compared to a lot of people here, but I'm quite excited.  I stuck at 993 for quite a while yesterday, opened this morning, and 1007.
