Did you have a nick name back in high school or do you have an a nick name now?

My nick name in high school was AJ...something about the way I drive smile
Back when I was the only girl in an all male welding shop, the guys told me I had to either chew tobacco or wear a baseball cap. I got a baseball cap with Pebbles on it. I still get called Pebbles.  :)Holly

          Good for you man.
Once I went to see a doctor. I was about 40.
          She asked me :
Do you have any uneasyness reading from a close distance ?
I said : No, not at all. Why ?
She said : Because at your age, sight is not improving at all and it naturally comes to a state where you need glasses.
I said : Ok. That's not my case.
She said : Do you smoke ?
          I said : Yes.
          She said : how much ? 5, 10, 20, more cigarretes a day ?
          I said : at least 20.
she said : Oh! you will never need to wear glasses.
          hehehe

As a teen, some friends use to call me Chris, while others called me Blondie.  When we were first married, my husband called me Grizzle Boom Boom.

As a kid, my grandma called me C-Bear and my dad called me Crabby.  big_smile

In childhood-and to some family members still-it was 'Lorlie'-since my mother's name was also Laurel and it got quite confusing.  In high school, it became 'Oral Laurel' which I have no comment upon. lol

My nickname from grade 6 on up was Pots and that was before Happy Days.  It was short for Pots 'N' Pans and that's all I have to say about that.
A friend of mine in college (who had been in my scout troop and gone to school with me in junior high) was calling me that into our college years.  He was the only one who could still use the nickname. After I graduated high school it didn't feel right coming from anyone new.
Once I started writing for college papers if people didn't know me enough to call me by my middle name they called me by my last name: Phoenix.
My name is Phoenix and . . . that's the bottom line.

I get nicknames from friends all the time. The latest ones are "smelly" or "poohead", which bear no relation to any scent I give off or appearance. Apparently it's a term of endearment! ha!
